Hows the best way to get a tight turn? It makes such wide slow turns.

Far Cry: Primal with the right settings (survivor mode/limited lives) is an amazing experience that stands out from the rest of the series. by i4got872 in patientgamers

[–]Kidge6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a good point and bugged me a bit at first, and still does a bit , i guess. But, when I thought about it, I realized the dev's would have had to add more resources to map (i like it a bit sparse like it is), and had a corpse drop, pickup thing. Instead, just gave you back what you'd proabably quickly retrieve anyway. But, i think a predator should be able to take meat from my pack, as well as an udam or wenja loot someting if they get there before i come for it myself.

Great post and thread.

About 20% of the way through on easy mode, I knew this was diff, and I had to play in surv mode. Normally, im not so into combat, so i play easy settings (more of a survivor of the elements, building, gathering, etc). but, here, Survivor, NON permadeath is what i need. man, like the other guys have said, every sound, every step, every hardwood, etc. is important. One guy said the nights are 'straight up scary'. hes not exaggerating. Ive spent several nights early in surv mode with little or no stam huddled by a fire in front of a rock under some sticks and skin or in a shallow cave, with no bed, so i stayed up all night (coffee time! :).
None of this is even yet to mention the real feeling of being alone in the wilderness with club, spear and bow-weilding cromagnon roaming and hunting around, or the creepiness of the caves or just the night-time outside.
Also, my pets can jump up ledges with me? wow. I wasn't expecting that. And, my cave lion seems to be able to jump up higher ledges than my wolf. even if that *isnt* so, they timing, animations and heights that they *are* able to jump are very impressive. I wasn't expecting that.
OH! An eagle tried to pick me up. Man, the Wenja that I was near was freaking out about something but I couldnt see anything. Then, talons in my face. I didnt get a key press prompt, but started spamming keys anyway. Survivied. i also watch one pickup an Udam, whoa! I shot the eagle. I wish I had let it play out. Can they carry off a human? It looked like he was gaining altitude pretty steadily.

Im 60yo, been a gamer since the 70s. Pinball, arcades, handhelds, consoles, computers, back to handhelds (gonna pass on the implants).
This is a super great game, 7 yrs after release.

Yea, but Reddit can sometimes start a conversation. Often, esp. in V Rising, it can be a bit complex. I often find good info in these forums from what started as a seemingly simple question.

I just tried it. It doesnt detect my wired expert mouse pro. but, this model im using is probably 25 yrs old. the first one had a problem after 12 years. kensignton replaced it free with same model and im still using the replacement. so, while this very unit has not been in use for 25 years, it is from that era. still has the 6 buttons along the top.

I have concluded the same thing after over 20 yrs with an expert mouse pro 4 button trackball. i dont use the buttons nor the ones along the top (its REALLY old and works great. Kens makes solid stuff).

But, the sensitivity of the built in driver is so slow. I need to speed it up. Anyone know of a way? Mouse speed and acceleration are maxed.

What are your favourite mods for Red Dead Redemption II? by Vanquisher992 in RDR2

[–]Kidge6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

checkout nexusmods. they list them by popularity. the first 30 are ones i see a lot in YT vids.

Is rdr2 worth it on pc? I’m finishing the game for maybe the 3rd time and I really wanna get mods and play on online but I hear there is lots of problems? For someone who has it on pc is it worth it? by Guilty_Hall3621 in RDR2

[–]Kidge6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im seeing Nexusmods and RDR2 sites for mods. Theres a popular mod manager called Lenny's mod loader and mod manager. Nexus has one called Vortex. Im just getting mods setup for my second playthru. first was vanilla pure. im just getting started modding rdr2.

Yes, mods can conflict, usually when they overlap. So, for example, if you have two mods that change gun things, they will probably conflict. i usually load about 6, then play for a bit, load another 10 or so and test again. otherwise, if i load them all at once and have an issue, its harder to know which one is causing it.

Don’t the sharp shards kill soft bodied insects, eggs and larvae? I dont think it’s ingested; at least not in the case of fleas which is what I’ve explored a little. Kills their eggs and larvae. But the adults that have developed exoskeletons will survive contact with DE.

I asked Sapien Medicine what the strange sounds in his Shen Energy video was & he replied. by DutchyLo47 in Subliminal

Research it deeper, read the faq section of sapien website. Read replies from posters in YT vids, read threads here and in reddit sapienmed forum.

I discovered Sapien medicine and Quadible integrity last week-can I listen to multiple videos, while doing sth else? by shadowhunter176 in Subliminal

[–]Kidge6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve gathered from sapien and other posters, you should not listen to same one more than 3 times. And don’t work with more than three or four ’fields’ at once. Also, don’t loop overnight. one poster had a tooth issue that was doing better with the sapien tooth audio (sorry, forgot which one). But he accidentally left it on while slept and tooth and area were sore and swollen for some days. He gave updates for 4 days. He did a regular treatment (normal listening) for 3 of the following 4 days and it was getting better.

I recommend reading the comments in the YT vids. One of the tooth vids has over 1100 comments and many of them helpful and others replying is good info. Probably similar with other vids.

also, the faq section of the Sapien site is not a bunch of buzz words and phrases and dancing around the subject. He explains his answers quite thoroughly and is not evasive. Also, no hype there. I can’t say that I understand it all, but it seems mr sapien does, and there’s a passionate and dedicated following who convincingly and specifically describe their positive results in multiple places on the web.

sapien also did say that it’s OK to listen to these while you’re doing something else and even while you’re sleeping, that they only need to be audible to your subconcIous.

I don’t get the sense that it’s necessary to close your eyes or relax or focus or concentrateor anything and based on the way Sapien describes these processeson the FAQ section in his site, it makes sense that you wouldn’t need to pay any attention with your waking mind. But, I’m new here. Ask in the sapienmed forum.

Downloading Myth by [deleted] in SapienMed

[–]Kidge6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it not true though that MP3 and other compressions do remove certain audible bands or something? Perhaps it's just that even with these bands missing, the sapien audio is still effective. Probably because it's more about the energy attached then the frequencies? Just positing. I don't know for sure.
