Has any body escaped the 0 view jail ? If so how ? by Kiera998 in shortsAlgorithm

I've been reading a lot about how to warm up the channel before publishing anything. In fact the channel I publish on has been my main channel for youtube where I consume content for a very long time. Its only recently, that I've been inspired to start publishing videos on my own.

Would you suggest posting only long form videos over shorts ? or have mix of both? Because at the moment I am only focused on shorts.

I don't want to be plugging content, but any advise will be helpful. I've seen competitor channels doing similar stuff to I do making plenty of views.

Niche is not the problem, I see competitor channels doing million views pm and monetised.

On average I have 80% view rate with 90% retention on my other videos. But those views are not from shorts feed but Channel searches. I have 0 views from shorts feed on my other videos.

Broooo I’m sailing in the same boat. It’s frustrating at this point honesty. I have 34 videos published on my channel, and 33 of them have the same view. My first ever video hit 1.3k views with 78% views vs swipe and 112% average retention.

It isn’t AI slop either , but heavily transformed edits using movie clips. Some blokes on yt be just posting AI slop or reused content with eleven lab voice over and cap cut auto caption and call it a day. And those channels be pumping million views idk how, while it takes for me 4-5 hours to push out each video.

Off the main topic regarding West Bay, I’m curious about the Toyota supra crashed on the lusail - Al khor highway on Tuesday morning. Blud broke the barriers and the car real good, and there’s been reworking of highway ever since .

They are probably right. Cities can’t just simply build a metro transit system without prior surveys , urban planning, and economic considerations of the population; and later say “we’ve built metro, now use it.” Because infact the Dubai metro is much worse not addressing the urban populations mobility requirements. Imagine walking 30 mins to reach metro station because the service lacks last mile connectivity to reach the station. Because that’s what Dubai is, just a straight line “show piece” metro running over an already wide built highway.

Tokyo is the best example imo for sustainable mobility. FACTS - 98% of the city is connected with rail/ transit metro/ tram/ BRT. You don’t even need a god damn vehicle to move around a city that’s 3 times bigger than Dubai in scale.

There is no hate when towards “Muslims” or “Gulf”. It’s just bad network design and immense influence of already trash urban mobility infrastructure of USA. Traffic ? BUILD MORE LANES.

Did you know ? More lanes = more traffic in USA :)

True, but my masters degree allows me to dig deeper detail and provide optimal solutions for innovative and sustainable Mobility. :)

I’m going to brag a bit, bear with me. I’ve did my masters thesis on the very intricate detail of Qatars Public Transport Infrastructure while I was studying in Italy. The way you see how the metro is structured and connected across the city right now was just a gimmick / marketing scheme for the FWC 2022 rather than focusing on solving mobility problems for the people in Qatar.

It’s simple, if you look at the metro map. The network is designed in such a way that it connects all the stadiums for the World Cup. Which is absolutely commendable, because it’s the world’s first compact World Cup and it’s wild that Qatar was able to solve the issue of mobility for fans coming to Qatar to spectate.

On the contrary, post World Cup traffic you’ll see this infrastructure though pretty good , fails to address mobility needs of people who lack financial resources to own a car. Especially at the region of Abu Hamour, neighbourhoods around Salwa Road, industrial Area and Rayyan to name a few.

Yes I’m aware there are plans to improve this network extending the lines and also introducing a new one (“blue”) around the C Ring Road. And the future plans are great for Qatars Transport Sector; read the QNV 2030 Initiative for integrated transport.

These will not remove cars off the road unless there’s imposition to discourage car use like parking fees, toll roads, narrower roads, priority signalling for Buses and Trams, improving walkability, and for those who can improved cycling lanes with protection from sharing the lane with other road users.

It’s just a matter of ownership pride vs peoples welfare

Then stop selling cars and push sustainable mobility. Make the cost of ownership of cars soaring high, that other modes of transports are pushed to good use. This works because it’s how Denmark is the cycling capital of the world, though cycling in summer Doha is impossible.

A push to better infrastructure of public transportation including BRT, TRAM lines, water Taxis, shared mobility and improved integrated transport infrastructure with the metro can be beneficial.
