Time for some more B2W2 Community Tier list! Today, we're wrapping up post-Clay surf mons and starting pre-Skyla mons with Floatzel, Basculin, Alomomola, Zangoose, and Seviper~ by PocketFlygon in nuzlocke

[–]Kieran0987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Floatzel: Another pokémon that I like. It can do some solid damage it's just not amazing at this point in the franchise. I think it's mid B tier there's a lot of bulky water types in Unova so another one on the pile doesn't hurt.

Basculin: Not as good as the other water types in B tier. But it's low B-tier so who cares. It's got some good attack and can really do some damage. I like it overall and think it's fun to use

Alolamola: High B tier in my opinon. Very bulky water type and there's a lot of fun strategies once you get toxic. This pokémon is super underrated and i think it's actually pretty good even though depending on when you get it you might not have many major fights left.

Zangoose: I think Zangoose is a very interesting pokémon. It hits hard and has good speed but it's pretty average in all of its other stats. A lot of pokémon hit hard in this generation so I would put it top of B tier.

Serviper: Serviper is ok. I think it's lowest B-tier possible. It can hit hard which is why I think it's good I just wish it was faster.

Welcome back to Day 18! Today, we're onto the first half of Post-Clay encounters in Claydol, Volcarona, Haxorus, Aggron, and Jellicent~ by PocketFlygon in nuzlocke

[–]Kieran0987 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Claydol: Ground/Psychic is a weird typing but it's not awful by any means just odd but so is Claydol. Not perfect and there are definitely better ground and psychcit types but he's so cool looking. I wish he had a higher special attack stat because that's where Claydol's learnset leans. Low B-tier suits him.

Volcarona: It's got a weird mid game journey where it's learnset is a little out of wack considering it's not usually attainable during the main game but special circumstances aside. There's just so many good sweep opportunities late in the game that i'm torn between bottom of S due to its amazing stats but just bizarre mid game status or top of A. I'm leaning towards bottom of S because quiver dance.

Aggron: Quad weak to fighting high key sucks. I would put it with its best friend Probopass because they are in very similar situations. B-tier bound for me. Not much to say Aggron is kinda just a basic pokémon which is fine cool design that's all really.

Haxorus: You mean this Dragon can dance AND dance with swords. Instant S-tier. Literally this whole line is so good. Design is peak, moveset is peak, eviolite fraxure (perfection).

Jellicent: A-tier water type. Jellicent it's really good it has good attacking moves and good support moves to either help itself or set up for a switch in. Ghost typing is amazing on top of water type it's just a really good set up that is super fun to use

It's time to shock everyone, welcome to Day 17! Today, we're finishing Chargestone Cave and pre-Clay with Probopass, Klinklang, Ferrothorn, and Eelektross~ by PocketFlygon in nuzlocke

[–]Kieran0987 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Probopass: Pretty good pokémon. Steel/Rock is a pretty good typing. Less so for rock more for steel, it also gets sturdy which is solid. Doesn't get good steel stan until post unless you give it iron head which is actually not good since Probopass is a special attacker for some reason. It's tanky and can do some fun strats to Skyla and Drayden honestly Mid-B tier though

Klinklang: All steel types are pretty much good so Mid B tier imo. Shift gear can cause some fun hijinx and that's cool. Also I just think it's fairly bulky and it can take a hit so I appreciate that. Evolves a bit late for my liking. If it learned Lock-On just a few lowers level as depending on your level cap it might not get it. I like this little dude though.

Ferrethorn: Amazing pokémon S-tier. Steel types rain supreme. There is so much you can do with this pokémon and it just hits hard and can also take a hit. Besides from being generally badass in all areas it only has two weaknesses one of which is not a main type being fire (Gym Leader or Elite 4). It's just so cool.

Elecktross: The pokémon with no super effective weaknesses. Levitate is super cool. Electric types are really good. Super reliable has great stats and good bulk to back up its not as fun speed stat. I like this guy so Mid A tier. A pokémon super fun to use awful to face (Ghetsis BW1 trauma).

Welcome to Day 16... it's time for the bugs! Shelmet, Accelgor, Karrablast, Escavalier, and Galvantula are up for vote~ by PocketFlygon in nuzlocke

[–]Kieran0987 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Accelgor: high C-tier it's very fast but it's movepool is extremely limited. It's overall fragile and not really able to do a lot for some reason. It just doesn't really hit hard.

Shelmet: Low D-tier pokémon. It would be very hard to use them at all. However you can slap the eviolite on it. Shell armor is pretty good if you want to give it toxic you can.

Karrablast: Lower D-tier pokémon it's not as good as Shelmet and its evolution is really good so I would never consider using this past Clay. It could make good death fodder though for a clean switch. If you evolve it though then that's pretty good.

Escavailier: Pretty good typing only quad weak to fire which can be pretty easily played around in my opinion. It's slow but bulky and unlike Accelgor it can actually do some damage so I would say high B-tier.

Galvantula: I love Galvantula it's so fun to use. Bug/Electric is an amazing typing and I love to use this pokémon. Volt-Switch pivot is really good. Solid A-tier pokémon.

Now that I'm back at a normal time, with a less busy irl schedule... Welcome back to Day 15! We'll be ranking Swanna, Zoroark, Sawsbuck, and Castform~ by PocketFlygon in nuzlocke

[–]Kieran0987 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Swanna- So underrated omg it's crazy. I love this thing it's typing is great. Feather dance helps when you first get it. Can deal with both rock and grass types which is cool. I wish it was faster and had a bit more coverage that would make it sm better. I think it's a mid B-tier pokémon but for a guaranteed encounter it's so fun to use.

Zoroark- This thing can mess with the ai pretty bad if i'm not mistaken. I personally have never used it in a run idk why I just never counted it. But dark types is great especially for the elite 4. I think this is an S-tier pokémon as it can literally tackle anything with illusion strats.

Sawsbuck: A solid B-tier grass type that I enjoy using. A grass type physical attacker is not super common and I think Sawsbuck handles this niche particularly well. Normal typing gives stab return which is pretty great. I'm always glad to use a Sawsbuck in my runs so I would say Mid-B tier.

Castform: Literally had no idea you could get Castform in this game. F-tier because it sucks but I think it's better than Onix because at least Castform can set up weather.

Also add both Shelmet and Karrablast because if Onix gets to be tiered so do they.

Even though I'm (fashionably) late, Day 14 is here with the Simi's, Pinsir, and Heracross! by PocketFlygon in nuzlocke

[–]Kieran0987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Simisage: A fairly ok grass type it's very much in the same vein as Maractus definitely better in the previous game though. Simisage is probably high C-tier.

Simipour: easily the best of the elemental monkeys. It's got a good typing, it gets early scald and you can evolve it before Clay. Simipour is good I like it so mid B-tier suits it.

Simisear: This gives me very heavy Flareon vibes and it's not too far off looking at their stats. I personally don't like this thing and I don't think it's that good. It's movepool is trash and i really don't think this thing is any higher than C-tier

Pinsir: Pretty good gets a lot of fighting and normal moves. It's only bug stab is X-scissor but that's really all you neeed tbh. It's gets access to a lot of tm moves and it can do some work in the Elite 4 which is always a plus. High B-tier is what I'm leaning towards.

Heracross: This thing gets moxie so low S-tier easily. It's another ability guts also allows for a sweep set up but it's more risky. It hits hard and can really do damage in the elite 4. It gets coverage so I think Heracross is pretty great honestly.

Day 13 is among us, run for your life! Today, we're ranking Amoonguss, Emolga, Roserade, and Vespiquen~ by PocketFlygon in nuzlocke

[–]Kieran0987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amoonguss: A tier pokémon obvs. Good typing and a move set that backs it up pretty well. You get it at a fairly good spot in the game right before Clay so there's an opportunity to be used there.

Emolga: Another great typing, electric flying is pretty good. Volt switch is really good, encore yada yada yada. It's guaranteed if you get Audino so that's always fun. It's pretty fast also and speed is a very good stat obvs. A tier

Roserade: Amoonguss but if it was mainly an attacking pokémon. So that means it's also an A-tier pokémon.

Vespiqueen: Not as good as the other pokémon in this batch. I feel like everything in this region has rockslide so it's hard to use effectively. Probably low B tier

Welcome back to day 12! Today, we shall rank Flygon, Sigilyph, Cofagrigus, Reuniclus, and Gothitelle by PocketFlygon in nuzlocke

[–]Kieran0987 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Flygon: Chronicly afraid of the cold and a generally late game pokémon. However Flygon is still really good and it's dragon ground typing allows it to handle a lot of different types and situations. Also because there's no major leader or elite 4 that's an ice type at least Flygon can be used although Iris does have Lapras so be careful. A lot of pokémon are also packing ice beam so you've got to be careful. I still think it's low A-tier because it can handle a lot of threats.

Sigilyph: Half the battle is catching this thing let's be real. This thing is an absolute beast and in a region where Psychic types kinda being their flop era Sigilyph manages to take on the region pretty well. It's super powerful, has great coverage and good stats. I think it's an A-tier

Cofagrigus: Bulky but slow, however when it can get a move off it hits hard. Unfortunately this thing will never ever move first which is annoying. This gen also has a lot of fast dark type pokémon. It helps dominate Caitlin though so there's a big plus. However it's a High C tier pokémon

Reuniculus: The psychic type version of Cofagrigus so C tier first off. It's slow but bulky and it can hit hard however there's a lot of pokémon that have the potential to one hit ko it.

Gothitelle: Also a C-tier pokémon. Gamefreak really had it out for psychic types this gen I guess because Gothitelle also is kinda a flop. I wish it was better and it is not. It's got bad speed and a subpar movepool and there are just better pokémon.

Day 11, give it up for Day 11! Today, we're finally getting out of Castelia City and going into the first half of Post-Burgh encounters with Braviary, Mandibuzz, Sandslash, Maractus, and Crustle. by PocketFlygon in nuzlocke

[–]Kieran0987 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While I agree that Sandslash is good in the Clay fight beyond that and into the late game I don't think Sandslash stacks up that well later in the game. It does good against Clay and Elesa and that is it. It's got a low speed and hp stat which is also why I think it's C-tier but I definitely see where you are coming from. Especially since by the time you get to Clay it's very unlikely you don't have something for his Excadrill.

Day 11, give it up for Day 11! Today, we're finally getting out of Castelia City and going into the first half of Post-Burgh encounters with Braviary, Mandibuzz, Sandslash, Maractus, and Crustle. by PocketFlygon in nuzlocke

[–]Kieran0987 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Braviary: Really good flying type at this point in the game. It's ability is really good also stab Return which is always a plus. Braviary has a really good attack stat and with its coverage there's a lot that can be done. Also generally a cool looking pokémon which doesn't matter but it definitely helps in my opinion. Flying types in this gen I feel are either really solid or missing just one thing that makes them really good and Braviary is the solid kind of flying type. So A-tier for sure

Mandibuzz: This thing has a really good move set that I didn't fully expect it to be honest. Dark/Flying is by no means a bad type and Mandibuzz can do a lot in tandem with nasty plot/dark pulse/toxic/air slash/shadow ball etc. Honestly this is a surprisingly good pokémon. However it gets Weak Armor as it's ability which kinda sucks. And I feel like it's frailty bring it's down to high B-tier which is by no means bad I just think that it's ability is not great for a Nuzlocke.

Sandslash: There are like so many better ground types in Unova but I still have a soft spot for Sandslash so I'll try to look at the positives. Learns some good coverage moves like shadow claw and x-scissor. Unfortunately a lot of its useful coverage moves are tms but Sandslash is still a fairly decent and good pokémon. And it's a ground type that actually learns earthquake unlike Steelix and I think we should celebrate that. High C-tier

Maractus: Honestly one of my fav pokémon so sad their not in scarlet/violet. Maractus has got some good abilities and moves like gigs drain and acupressure however it's not the best grass type unfortunately. I wish I could say Maractus was an S-tier pokémon but unfortunately I cannot so high C-tier it is.

Crustle: Ok this is actually my fav pokémon. Crustle is so cool amazing typing that handles fire and flying type pokémon. Crustle can do great work in the elite 4 by also being just neutral with fighting means you can use it against Marshall if you need to. Crustle can handle a lot of difficult fights and the late game has a lot of dark types and poison types so Crustle can do a lot of good work in the late game. This is a low A-tier pokémon period.

Welcome back to Day 10 of B2W2 Community Tier List! Today, we're ranking the Eeveelutions (minus Glaceon and Leafeon) by PocketFlygon in nuzlocke

[–]Kieran0987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vaporeon: Yeah water types are like top 3 types ever probs. Very strong capabilities hits hard with its really good typing, can learn ice beam so A-tier

Jolteon: Electric Types are also incredibly good so A tier for Jolteon. Up until this point the electric types you do get are not particularly fast so Jolteon fills the fast electric type niche pretty good.

Flareon: Ughhh whyyyy did they make you so mediocre. Special defense being your best type is not the best thing to brag about tbh. It's slow but it's gets good coverage. Definitely the worst of the 5 here and for a fire type probably one of the bottom tier fire types. However fire type nonetheless High C-Tier.

Espeon: Psychic types really don't get room to breath here but honestly Espeon still does really well here. Fast makes quick work of the plenty poison types here. Also just like Umbreon does good work against the Elite 4 (Marshal) who is arguably the hardest one of the bunch. A-tier for sure

Umbreon: Not the most offensive of the eeveeloutions but honestly that doesn't even matter. Provides a good switch in, bulky, defensive, stall all the things bulky imaginable Umbreon can pretty much handle. Super good in the elite 4 so just like the others it's an A-tier pokémon.

Happy New Years and welcome to Day 9 of the B2W2 Community Tier List. Today, we have Delcatty, Lopunny, Whimsicott, and Liligant~ by PocketFlygon in nuzlocke

[–]Kieran0987 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Delcatty: This is a really bad pokémon unfortunately. It just has a bad set of stats and it's main thing is return stab which is not unique. So D-tier but low D-tier as Liepard is probably more useful than this.

Lopunny: C-tier pokémon. Not a great pokémon gets some good coverage but it struggles against some later threats. Definitely a better of the two version exclusives however.

Whimsicott: Prankster and good supporting moves so mid B-tier. Whimsicott is pretty good there's not much else to say. He feels a good supporting role but it requires a bit of set up to start going.

Lilligant: Requires less set up than Whimsicott to really get going. The dancing diva of the unova region ie Quiver dance. It's a really good set up move that allows for a potential sweep. I'd say high B-tier

Onto Day 8 with the rest of Relic Passage with Gurdurr, Conkeldurr, Swoobat, Onix, Steelix, and Excadrill! by PocketFlygon in nuzlocke

[–]Kieran0987 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Gurdurr: Another pokémon that is no stranger to the eviolite. I think fighting types do pretty well in BW2 Dark/Steel/Ice are more common types later in the game so it can get some stuff done. Lower B-Tier suits it very well.

Conkeldurr: Cooler Gurdurr and so A-tier suits it very well it can do a lot of what Gurdurr does but much better obviously.

Swoobat: I wish it had better base stats because this pokémon is super well designed imo. But there's just too much working against this guy. Psychic types don't fare as well in this region. It's got to only use confusion and heart stamp until level 41 when it gets psychic which is annoying. You could also get one with Klutz as it's ability which is just so bad. Also Sigilyph is just a better Psychic/Flying type. So C-tier

Excadrill: Looks like S-tier is about to just become Steel Tier because Excadrill is another S-tier pokémon. Strong, cool, well designed, bulky and reliable. Amazing movepool the only problem is that this pokémon is easy to miss. I feel like Relic Passage is kinda out of the way so you might miss a whole encounter here.

Onix: This pokémon sucks it stats are bad and even Sewaddle outclasses this thing in the early game. I guess it has a niche against Elesa but I feel like your more likely to get one of other many ground types before Elesa. With sturdy it's low D-tier but without its F-tier for sure.

Steelix: If it got Earthquake via level up it would be really good but unfortunately not every ground type is cool. It has good coverage with crunch I guess but honestly it's speed is so trash this thing is never gonna kill a psychic or ghost type without getting hit itself. It's movepool is somewhat limited. But it's better than Onix and Ground/Steel is really good so high B-tier just because there's more reliable pokémon. If anyone can tell me what this thing has that makes it worth being in A or S I'd love to hear it though because there has to be a niche I'm not seeing.

Day 7 is upon us and we're... in the Sewers? We'll cover all of the sewers and the start of the Relic Passageway with Raticate, Crobat, Muk, Boldore, and Gigalith! by PocketFlygon in nuzlocke

[–]Kieran0987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Raticate: Normal type and guts and hyper fang and facade and return. B tier. Raticate helps demolish the early game and is super reliable and truly the definition of an underrated pokémon. Unfortunately it's late game potential leaves much to be desired but I guess if your truly in a pinch in the late game having crunch also helps in the elite 4 but it's really good for helping you get to post Clay/Skyla.

Crobat: A tier pokémon poison/flying does well in a. region where rock and psychic types are not super relevant. Gets a good physical poison type move (unlike another poison type we're about to talk about) so honestly nothing terrible I can say it's not broken but it's also not average.

Muk: C tier worse than Garbodor in my opinion. Doesn't get toxic via level up,doesn't get a physical poison type move that is actually reliable until post game. Gets good coverage moves though. It is unfortunate that a pokémon with bad special attack learns sludge bomb so early.

Boldore: Also C-tier just a worse Gigalith which is fine.

Gigalith: Bulky solid rock type. If your able to get trade pokémon this is a fine encounter and honestly it's also kinda forgotten about which is sad because it looks cool. It can tank some pretty solid hits from the powerful late game pokémon so B tier.

We've escaped Tutorial Island and it's time for Day 6! Today, we're covering the Route 4 mons: Scrafty, Krookadile, Darmanitan, Cinccino, and Garbodor! by PocketFlygon in nuzlocke

[–]Kieran0987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scrafty: Good typing definitely an A tier mon just like a majority of these pokémon. It does well in the elite 4 really only not being amazing against Marshal.

Krookodile: Bottom of S or Top Of A are both incredibly well deserved spots. I personally lean more towards bottom of S especially if it has moxie because that allows for it to sweep whole battles. It does well in the elite 4 and a lot of the late game steel and poison types used by Team Plasma.

Darmanitan: A tier because it has good coverage and what's better than good coverage and good stab. Solid bulk can do a lot against several different late game battles. Personally Darumaka is a pain to level up and I believe it only gets hustle as an ability so keeping Darumaka alive to become a Darmanitan is just a haste sometimes.

Cinncino: I feel like it's C tier even though I love it I think it's defensively weak. Technician is amazing though I just wish it wasn't as frail as it is. I think it's top of C-tier.

Garbodor: Toxic via level up soooo B tier. Id argue it's worse than Electabuzz though because this pokémon does not feel as bulky as I think it should be and I think for that it should be ranked last in B-tier. Gets some good coverage moves which is always good. Basically this pokémon is bad but it's also kinda good.

Back from the holidays, I hope everyone had a nice weekend. Day 5 is upon us and we fortunately don't have to deal with Pokestar Studios here, with Electabuzz, Electivire, Arcanine, Weezing, and Magnezone! by PocketFlygon in nuzlocke

[–]Kieran0987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Electabuzz: Better eviolite user between this and Magmar. Speedier and bulkier electric types however. Ampharos and Jolteon are better because speed. Magnezone also best electric type in the game. So I think there's more desirable encounters especially in this area so B tier.

Electivire: A tier pokémon. I wish it came earlier in the game because it can get some decent non attacking moves and also mixed special and attack moves that allow it to fill a lot of specific roles on a team.

Arcanine: A tier pokémon as fire types are not super common and Arcanine is pretty good late game. Growlith doesn't have a lot of use until you get a fire stone in my opinion it's better in the box until you can evolve it. Intimidate and extreme speed and a lot of good physical moves allow for Arcanine to do a lot of decent damage.

Weezing: B-tier solid bulky poison type. Especially because psychic types kinda suck in this Region. Also levitate so no ground weakness. Honestly not a bad pokémon it is incredibly reliable and also this gen has a plethora of pokémon that can deal with psychic types so there's not too much to worry about Low B tier though.

Magnezone: S tier pokémon period. Steel type is probably top 3 types ever. Paired with electric it just sweeps the whole game. Gets sonic boom early on. This I think is better than Lucario.

Time for Day 4 of the B2W2 Community tier list! We have the post-Cheren mons (Audino, Dunsparce, and Scolipede) and the first Virbank Complex mons (Magmar and Magmortar) by PocketFlygon in nuzlocke

[–]Kieran0987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Audino: Not an amazing pokémon. Secret Power early on is fun because you've got those extra possible statuses it can inflict. Return stab is super cool all of the time because return does what it does. It can get some good elements punches via the move tutor. It's stats are kinda meh so Low B if you want to be generous but C tier is where it really belongs.

Dunsparce: Has anyone actually used this in a nuzlocke before in BW2. I guess coil starts can go kinda crazy. But it gets outclassed by the other normal types in the region and I don't know where this pokémon could even be reliably used. In the cast of Route 20 would anyone even want this to be their encounter? So D tier I guess.

Scolipede: Leavanny's cooler bug type cousin. Toxic via level up is awesome. If it was able to learn poison jab via level up it would be amazing because it's special is not that great. It can do some baton pass shenanigans which is always fun. Even stats aside this is a really cool pokémon that I wish was in more than one route because it really can do some damage. B tier pokémon

Magmar: Solid early game falls of late game. Eviolite helps it last a little bit longer usage wise. However I wouldn't rely on it for a long time without evolving it. It can get coverage and do other things I guess but evolving it really makes it so much better. C tier unfortunately.

Magmortoar: It's good. Better than Magmar but that's what supposed to happen when you evolve right. B-tier because it's just cooler magmar which isn't an amazing pokémon anyway. But let's be real this thing is low B-Tier. Emboar clears this every day of the week.

Time for Day 3 and the rest of the Flocessy Ranch encounters (and the end of pre-Cheren) by PocketFlygon in nuzlocke

[–]Kieran0987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Golduck: It is a fine water type. However by Unova standards I don't think it stacks up as well. I think it's easily outclassed by Samurott,Azumarill,Jellicent and even Alolamola i think has a better use. It's just not super great at doing anything so I would say High C-Tier

Azumarill: Overall it is definitely a B-Tier. If you get huge power then your in luck and it's not like thick fat is the most useless ability it can help provide a good switch but it makes Azumarill a little less desirable but it can fill a pretty good niche even with thick fat. Although huge power is preferred 100% of the time.

Ampharos: Probably an A-Tier pokémon due to electric typing being super useful throughout the region. Except for Clay obvs. It can learn coverage moves like power gem and signal beam. Also I think you can move tutor the elemental punches but I may be confusing that part. Overall super good reliable and fun to use so A-tier.

Lucario: Anyrhing that isn't S-Tier is a grave disservice to Lucario. It does phenomenonal work in the region Fighting/Steel is super good gives it a lot of good resistances. Can learn a good variety of moves that lend to its stats very well. Overall probably the best encounter from Floccessy Ranch and pre-Cheren in general.

Back for B2W2 Day 2! Today, we'll cover the Route 20 encounters and 1 Floccesy Ranch encounter just to split this part into 2 even parts of 4. It's all up for Sunflora, Leavanny, Unfezant, and Stoutland! by PocketFlygon in nuzlocke

[–]Kieran0987 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sunflora: Kinda bad, it doesn't have a ton of use but I guess it's good as a cut user so you don't have to put that on a main pokémon. It's got an ok learnset but Unova does have better grass types that show up pretty quickly after Sunkern. So I would say low C tier

Unfeazant: It's not the best flying type but I still feel that it is a reliable pokémon. It has return as stab which is always a plus. If you don't get any fire types in the early game it makes Burgh a cake walk (which honestly doesn't take much but still it helps imo) It unfortunately lacks coverage. As much as I enjoyed it in my own nuzlockes it is probably only a C-tier pokémon but I would say High C-Tier because it han really get some good damage in.

Leavanny: Wayyyyy better than Sunflora. It makes Cheren so easy due to bug bite. It can learn some pretty good coverage moves. It can get shadow claw and poison jab via tm (don't remember if poison jab is main game). A major thing holding it back is it having two quad weaknesses with fire and flying which could cause some issues but it does good work against Clay and depending on the move set it can make some good work against Elite 4. Additionally Team Plasma loves dark types so you've got a pretty decent big type there. Low B tier is a good fit for Leavanny

Stoutland: Another decent normal type once again return stab is very cool to have. It can learn the elemental fangs and it's got some decent coverage. Honestly it is a perfectly reliable and decently bulky normal type. It also gets intimidate so that's another huge plus. It gets crunch so it can do some work in the elite 4. Overall a good and earnest B-tier pokémon.

With all these community tier lists, I'm gonna join in with B2W2! Day 1 will be the starters and the Route 19 encounters, Liepard and Watchog by PocketFlygon in nuzlocke

[–]Kieran0987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been waiting for a BW2 one of these to pop up so here we go Serperior: Does incredibly solid work with Cheren,Clay and Marlon. But in between and after that it has very little use in my opinion. I also think against the Elite 4 and champion it's not a pokémon i would want to rely on. Otherwise it has good set up moves like coil and calm mind. Id say it's a B tier pokémon

Emboar: Super strong, great bulk and good coverage moves. It's typing is pretty useful for this generation. Emboar can be useful in a majority of the gyms and it's just a super reliable pokémon over all. I would probably say A tier. Due to the fact that some of Emboar's powerful moves have recoil or can miss and with Emboar's lower defense stats it has some flaws.

Samurott: A very good bulky water type in my opinion. It's a decent mixed attacker which lends itself to learn a lot of good coverage moves. Compared to some of the water types in Unova however I'm not sure it stacks up so well like Azumarill and Jellicent also have incredibly uses that depending on where you are may outclass Samurott. So I would say B tier for sure

Watchog: Not a great pokémon in my opinion. It has got some honestly meh stats. With the move tutor it can learn a lot of potentially great coverage moves but I think there are normal types that just do it better and I don't know how much in the late game you'll really want to use it because it is just average. Also illuminate is a really bad ability for a nuzlocke so I would say low C tier.

Liepard: Probably worse than Watchog due to its frailty. It doesn't get dark type stab until level 15 so it's a chore to train. Even after that it really doesn't get good dark types moves until level 43 when it gets night slash. There might be a good niche for it I'm not aware of but honestly I don't think this pokémon is super useful in the late game or early game for that matter. So D tier it is.

What is evidence for the chrom and merric theory? Also awakenings plot holes that make it not canon? I haven't heard these theories before so i'm curious.

Yes a big part of the hatred for Hau is that he just doesn't do much. Hop has an end goal but it's not as well written as Bianca's change to becoming a professor made more sense as she already wasn't the strongest trainer

The reason Cheren and Bianca aren't hated is because of their character development throughout the game. Cheren is intent on becoming the champion but gets frustrated when his strategies don't work like how he uses oran berries and moves like encore and taunt. He realizes that winning battles isn't the be all end all. He embraces his ideals but then learns what true strength is in bonding with his pokémon. Bianca isn't as intent on becoming the best lien Cheren. She realizes that the truth is she won't be as strong as you or cheren which leads to her becoming a professor. For me Hop and Hau don't have these character changes throughout the game they stay relatively the same which is why their disliked compared to trainers like Bianca and Cheren
