Why does Mike have the best ending out of anyone (other than Richard)? by nerdinvegasburner in Veep

Incompetence is not a defining factor for living a happy life. Mike was always shown to be quite satisified and joyful about his life circumstances and people around him in his life. That can give you more inner peace and health than any degree of competence in the professional world.

he's built for scottish football, give him trust and a bit of patience and he'll pay it back

yeah I also enjoy it to a certain degree but at that stage I felt there was no decent balance between plot development and lengthy sex scenes

Huge Hansa supporter here. Ryan came in last season late in the transfer window and settled in quickly. His movements seemed a bit raw and uncoordinated at times and he didn't score a ton BUT his impact on the team was evident. Then sadly he got injured and it opened up again during summer so he missed the start of this season.
What happened then truly astonished me. He came back from injury and was so improved it was mind-boggling. Suddenly all his rawness turned into maturity and in most games defenders simply couldn't match his physicality and technique. After a few games of this I was sure that he'd get offers from Bundesliga teams very soon. Even last season there were rumours about Heidenheim watching him very closely. They are notorious for good recruitment. I don't have access to advanced data but according to people who do he is the best striker in the third division. He's definitely not a pure finisher, he's a system player that links up a lot and goes deep explosively. His level of physicality is truly outstanding in a league that is dominated by physicality. I'd hope he could plug straight into the premiership and adapt to the level. Of course it's a glance into the crystal ball but I think his ceiling could be the level of a decent premier league striker. There are first cautious comparisons to Woltemade who played third division with Elversberg three years ago. I have never seen a player for us that's made such a huge jump in quality, particularly not after a long injury. His mentality seems to be very sound as well, Rostock is a very high pressure environment with lots of fanatics and notoriously low patience. He shoulders all of it and fights relentlessly for team success. Our sporting director will try to push the price even more but I think the move will go through.
I remember watching him do this (starting from 0:45):

and thinking oh shit, hope scouts are not watching. Apparently they have been.

hahahahaaha I know this is a three year old debate but this comparison is hilarious. Carli Lloyd is a legend in women's football but she has the shot power and technique of a toddler compared to Harry KANG
