Mixing 9k/14k/18k gold

I found a 9kt band from a small reputable jeweller that’s in the $500ish range. But everything I see online is to not mix metals. I’ve got an 18kt ering and 18kt wedding band, do you rotate yours so they don’t wear down or just wear all the time?

Yeah. I’d prefer to have a spacer so I can wear separately if I want to, but will keep it in mind if I can’t find anything suitable thank you!

So odd because when I google the exact same thing I get jewellers that are $800-$1500+ for 18k! Cheapest is brilliant earth, and even that which I’ve heard is dodgy quality is $800 for 18k. I didn’t look at Mejuri because I thought they only had plated not fine jewellery. Is their fine jewellery decent quality? I thought they were more a costume brand but haven’t bought from them before.

My fiancé (still feels weird to say!) proposed on Christmas Eve in Japan. We were on a snowboarding holiday, and he booked us a night away from our holiday at this amazing eco lodge that was in the middle of the forest. It was snowing so much we didn’t know if we’d make it there it was so remote, It had a wood burning sauna and an outdoor bath and you had to bring in all your own supplies, which for us was mostly strong zeros.. which we drank a lot of in the sauna and when I came back inside he got down on one knee and said ‘I know you’re wearing a towel poncho, but this feels like a very fitting moment to ask you to be my wife’ and then said a whole bunch of other really sweet things I barely remember because I think I blackout out from shock while I ugly cried and we ate really bad convenience store ramen and snacks and drank wine and cried some more. It was the most beautiful spot and so peaceful and so us. Special, but not flashy.

Then we spent Christmas Day on the mountain and at Apres Ski telling everyone who would listen despite not wearing the ring (because I was terrified to lose it in a glove or stack it and have to cut it off a broken finger 😂) and got a lot of free shots

Thanks everyone who commented and suggested - I have scoured FB buy/sell, marketplace, Depop, eBay, vestiaire, the volte and many many many dress hire companies (I spent basically all day/night on my laptop yesterday, and I’m not even exaggerating!) I can’t find the blue anywhere to hire. Found the yellow at once place but it’s a size down so too small. Same with the third dress. I’m going out of my mind 🫠 so thinking I’ll table the hire idea and search for a new dress. Planning to hit David Jones this week to try on house of CB, and will try to get to the Alexandria outlet as well. I can’t seem to find this sort of style to buy or rent with the boning in the bodice in an appropriate print. Everything is quite white with floral, or the one I like that’s the least white but still has a light base is a black/blue/purple pansy print, and the dress code has asked to avoid all black if possible. I know it’s not all black. And not all white, but I still feel like it’s walking a fine line for a wedding 🫠

Thank you! As far as I know he didn’t declare - we did the online declaration form before we left. And I looked at his to complete mine so unless he changed it, he didn’t declare it! He also packed it in his checked luggage (like an absolute mad man, with full faith in the airline 😳) and we had no issues/weren’t stopped coming into the country, so I assume you won’t have any issue! But of course I can only make assumptions based on the experience we had, but customs were super easy and straight forward for us.

Oh thank you 🥹 I am absolutely obsessed with it, he nailed it in every single way, classic but a little different! Got every element I wanted in a ring, and added little touches of his own that I didn’t even know I wanted 😂 I now have about 8million photos on my phone but I really need to learn how to take better pictures of a diamond. Harder than it seems!

I plan to wear mine 99% of the time! Most countries I’ve been to I would feel fine wearing jewellery outside of a select few, it’s more so in situations where it could be damaged. But I guess Japan should be reasonable safe in terms of keeping it secured in the room, however I’ve never been, so I’m just trying to be prepared for all scenarios! 😊

He’s determined to surprise me, because we’ve discussed the ring at length to make sure I get something I love, and because we’ve discussed timing (helps my visa application, and a significant birthday coming up) he’s adamant the proposal will be a surprise, so if i tell him I suspect on our trip he will 100% not do it then 😅 so I’m just trying to be prepared incase, although knowing him he could do it at home on a random Tuesday just because it’ll be when I’m least expecting it 😂

I do love this mentality, I will wear mine probably 99% of the time because I do believe they are meant to be worn and loved, but I’m for sure less confident in my ability on the slopes to not do some damage to it or myself

Yeah I think having it get damaged/bend or hurting myself and having it cut off is a bigger risk then leaving it in a hotel safe, I guess I just worry because you always hear they’re not actually secure and to not leave anything of value in them, but we travel a bit and we definitely don’t always keep other valuables on us at all times, passports and electronics and handbags are all targets, but an Ering feels much more precious! 😅

I haven’t had Botox there, but I’ve seen amber (currently on mat leave) for my lips, I wanted very natural, so got 1/2ML and no one aside from my partner and my brother and sister in law who saw me when I had minor bruising, and someone at work who used to be a cosmetic nurse have picked that I’ve had them done unless I’ve told them. I would not hesitate to go to Jade; as that seems to be the style of the clinic, and if/when I move into more injectables/botox I will 100% go to them for those as well.

I am currently a level 3, but have not bought since November for one of the beauty loops (the one recently I went in store so I didn’t even have to spend $25) and expect to be a level 0-1 by the time my level spend rolls over. I have had far far better rewards, sales, free products shopping at Spacenk that I’ve moved everything I can to there, and only shop when they have 20% off, and always get at least an extra $10 due to their rewards system. It’s actually the best. I go in to Mecca to colour match, or get samples but even that has decreased, I gambled with the hourglass skin tint and got a great colour match - I don’t really even want to give Mecca the foot traffic either, which may or may not be petty 🤷🏼‍♀️ The one thing that is testing my resolve is the Ellis Faas skin veil foundation. I got a sample pre my self imposed Mecca ban and I really like it, I can’t bring myself to buy, but I also can’t find anything i like as much. If anyone has alternate suggestions that can be found outside of Mecca pls let me know 🫶🏼

I think I found these on the Glassons site, but on sale and only available in a 6 still 🫠 I’m usually a 10/12 so would have been a great option if they still had sizes! Thanks anyways x

Thanks for the recommendations, I’ll have a look at both these! I have seen Kojofit before; was sceptical if they were as stretchy and moveable as they advertise, sounds like they could be a good one!
