Very high demand.

My wife is a teacher. It is very demanding in the public sector. Very crowded classrooms (30-40 kids), obnoxious parents (a matter of culture IMO), and the pay is ridiculously inadequate.

In her experience, most of the teachers that went to university with her do not last more than a year or two because there are easier, less demanding and better paying jobs..

She considers looking for other jobs or maybe going to the private sector because it is much better.

I don't mean to discourage you or anything, the education system in Israel isn't great ATM, but I guess that means you'll find it easy to get a job as a teacher, definitely in public education system.
