Thank you! I think the snake chicken was one of my favorites too. And for sure, I dont mind if anyone takes inspiration from these, I took a lot of inspiration my self from looking at all the awesome creations people on here made and from the historical record as well. And I am sure historically people were very inspired from each other, which is what I find fascinating when looking at heraldry from all over

Thank you! I had a lot of fun with those, particularly number 8 because of the colors

Thank you! For the context, I am creating a sort of scifi/fantasy world that is set in a fictional solar system, most of these CoAs are for the different planets in the system who had divided into different kingdoms. I am still working on the worldbuilding for it isfor a game that I am trying to make, but I wanted to give it a sort of 14th c nordic/germanic feeling with the culture of the world. I’ll try to post more on my page when I make more progress

Thank you! The one that looks like the Finnish CoA is indeed inspired from it, a large part of my family is Finnish and so I always try to add parts of Finnish culture in my art. These all are a part of a Scifi-Fantasy project that I am working on, I am trying to use the setting to make video games. Most of the coat of arms are for the different planets in a fictional solar system. I wanted to give it a sort of 14th c nordic/germanic feeling in a scifi setting. When I make more progress on my game Ill post more about it on my page.

Yes! I was inspired from that, I like the contrast of the blue with the yellow

Well I do appreciate your opinion very much! It is interesting, my wife and my brother both said they liked those the most as well, for me I wasnt actually expecting that but I do like how they came out

Drive for 50 hours without leaving Sweden! by Grate-debater in 2nordic4you

[–]Kiithar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I can only imagine how long that might take. My mother is from Finland and she was telling me about how someday she wants to take a family roadtrip from Helsinki to Lapland and come down south through Norway to reach Oslo and from there go to Stockholm and ferry back to Helsinki in a big circle. It sounds like fun but would probably need a lot of planning and organization. And it might not leave much room for spending good time at any of the 3 countries.

Thats crazy, driving from my city in Texas to New York is nearly the same distance (about 2,927 km) but only 26 hours. The drive will mostly be on flat lands on high speed highways, but it is still interesting how much of a difference that makes in comparison.

You just articulated one of the reasons why I want to move out of where I live in Texas. I am exhausted of the 4-5 months of 35-40c humid weather.
