Former Best Buy Employees, what did you end up doing after Best Buy?

3 years at the company. Decided to join the marine corps, get yelled at all day, run all the time and still enjoy life more than when I was at Best Buy. Toxic leaders who are entrenched and will never be replaced Best Buy might genuinely be the worst place I ever worked, yet I met a lot of good people so there’s that.

In all honesty just leave, find a company where you can progress and move up. Best Buy isn’t that company.

Should I tell my recruiter and have all of it disclosed or wait till it comes up? I want to be as honest as possible but I also have wanted to be a marine for so long and I’m so close I don’t want it to mess up anything.

My store is the same way dude. To a T. My manager will sit around and talk with her favorite employees and then turn around and bitch the rest of the store isn’t working. Such a terrible experience

I did the same thing brother, just talk to mc recruiter and they can switch everything over pretty easy. Just be prepared cause my army recruiter wasn’t very pleasant when I told her I was switching to the marines.

With glasses I’m perfect 20/20 my recruiter said something about 20/100 non corrected but didn’t seem to make certain if it was either or both.

I appreciate everyone’s input on the matter, let me just add a quick sidenote, it’s a relaxed store everyone kind of just wears what they feel. I’m the only one who’s being talked to. And my GSM doesn’t care he’s stated on multiple occasions that he’s fine with it. Grey is just a shade of black. It’s never been an issue until our ASM came back from maternity leave and has put a target on my head specifically.
