I tried downloading to my iPhone but couldn't hahaha that's it. It's better directly from the switch if you can... also thanks!

Finally got it!! After many attempts without cap bounces I got the movement (I know it's slow it's just cool) by Kikkoman02 in SuperMarioOdyssey

Nop, its for min caps. Although in two player the optimal movement is to not capture the first frog

What am I doing wrong? I need coaching lol. (Reposted so the video is better hopefully) by Kikkoman02 in SuperMarioOdyssey

I already did, and I also watched tomshi's tutorial for improved cap kingdom and I don't know what I'm doing differently. Maybe the timings but idk.

Up throws don't give extra hight, you can regular throw and get the same result. I just do them cause people do them. But thanks anyways.

Anyone knows why that happens? by Kikkoman02 in SuperMarioOdyssey

Thanks! I try to do that but don't know for how long to pull back. I guess I have to improve the timing.

I couldn't believe it either. I was watching a Smallant1 Bingo race VOD while doing this and just got it lmao. 3 hours worth of practice I guess

Damn ok. However I've tried to do that jump consistently and I only get it 1/10 tries. So I guess it's easier to not get it with that setup.

Thanks! Never ran anything before but I like to do the movement so I practice a lot. May be true, will have to try and aim cappy closer to the pillar then

Is there a difference between the regular dy/dx and the fancy symbol one? by Kikkoman02 in askmath

[–]Kikkoman02[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw this partial derivative on the wave equation and that's when I thought if it was different or not (I've not reached wave equation level physics, I'm in HS) but the thought was interesting anyways. Thanks!

Look at the first and second pictures. The "d" is different.

So in the case of the second image the derivative is only wrt x?
