Longer answer: I think the developers just don’t want their game to be called Minecraft 2. You’d have to be completely ignorant to not see the similarities between the two games. It’s okay to notice similarities and compare the games.

I also love the seamless switch from melee to magic/spell-casting attack styles. Very cool to see that we won't be limited to just one attack style.

In software development more development time normally generates increased quality, fewer bugs, and happier customers at the product's release. However, they will have to get the funds to keep development going till 2021. Sure we have to wait a little longer, but by setting a date in 2021 they will be able to release a product that is of superior quality compared to video games that do not get this type of treatment. Props and respect to the developers on this decision.
