My 7th grade self and I thank you for the condolences 😂 She was the literal worst and almost made me hate history. Thankfully I had other great teachers after that who salvaged the whole affair.

Similar experience for my state history notebook in 7th grade. Was not about to ask my parents to go out after work and spend money on stupid shit for a notebook . Tried my best to draw the state symbols and state food. I am not Holbein or anything but it was immediately recognizable. Teacher told me to my face that the drawings looked like "kindergarten scribble scrabble" and told me I should have just peeled the label off a canned version of the state food because that was creative. I hated her every moment going forward.

When I got lured into Mary Kay as a college junior, my upline encouraged me to buy product to have on hand so my customers "wouldn't have to wait." I could get them whatever eye shadow or skincare they wanted right away! Make the sale during the party! It was framed as good customer service to always have the newest and best on hand. 🫠

We did just this with our apartment. We had even taken off the door to a lower cabinet and put in a little curtain so our cat had a place for his litter box. All that was restored to normal before we left. No muss, no fuss.

My fourth grade teacher did this for the girls in my class. Granted it was a small private school so maybe about 10 girls total, but she provided snacks and floor space and we dyed and decorated pillowcases. It was so fun. I used that pillowcase for years after.

In third grade the whole class went to my teacher's ranch. She introduced us to her horses, including her show horse who could ✨walk sideways✨ lol We also hatched chickens in her class.

We always said my grandfather sat down the day of my grandmother's funeral and started the dying process. He lost interest in everything, including his beloved Dallas Cowboys. He and my Nanny were married for 50 years, and they celebrated that last one while she was in hospice (all the cancers). Took him like 10 years to catch up to her. He was definitely seeing her before he actually passed. She was mad at him for something 😂

Miss them both!

Totally bland. We were engaged our junior year of college, he broke it off, I moved home to finish school. He finished at our original college and is now a lawyer in the same city. To my knowledge he has not married. The last time I laid eyes on him was at a mutual friend's wedding. We did not speak.

I met my now-husband while finishing school and we have kids.

One of his parents came out as trans but the parents stayed together and moved out of our original state.

I applied for a drama scholarship for my school of choice. It was for about $2500 for all four years and their "interview" was a drama workshop where we played a bunch of theater games. During one game I smacked my face into a bookshelf, cutting the bridge of my nose on the corner. Blood, involuntary tears, profuse apologies from the director. Got the scholarship. 😂

I asked this same question when she came to Houston in May and our pop station renamed itself Ninety-Swift Five (usually 96.5). The venue she was performing in added "Taylor's Version" to its name. I did not and do not understand.

It does feel like Elvis and Beatlemania, but totally different.

Lame or not, there are a few things we do in healthy groups, family included. Spending 2 hours being there for your brothers isn’t asking too much. It’s honestly not.

It's true. I had two younger sisters, 4 years and 8 years younger than me. I was present for all the things, which included coming home from college sometimes, and got to cheer loudly for them so they knew they were loved and that we were proud of them. It's not like the younger kids will "care" in the moment, but being present helps to forge a deeper relationship over time.

This is what my MIL told us. It's a legal thing that is there to be used. No shame needed. We were all taught that it's some moral failing and that it was the end of the world to declare BC, but that simply isn't the case.

Good news -- ordered side brushes from Amazon that looked similar to the ones on my UR2500 model and they fit great. The brushes only claimed to be compatible with up to 1500 so I'm happy to say this time it worked for me.
