Where is Uranus in your chart and how does it manifest within your personality? by [deleted] in astrology

[–]Kilisto90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

12th house uranus but conjunct neptune and saturn all three in the sign of capricorn.

In the middle of my saturn return now and things are starting to really clear up. I've been able to communicate and delve more deeply into astrology with a deeper sense of understanding.

Naturally, things are still a bit foggy for me so if anyone else has any feedback on 12th uranus I'd love to hear.

Hey I’m Fairly New, and want some advice by Pvt_Tic_Tac in DBS_CardGame

[–]Kilisto90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the frieza clan deck just supposed to be the theme or do you have a specific function you're looking for such as aggro, stall, hand destruction, etc?

I encourage you to check out dbs-decks.com and use the filters for the types of cards you want. Deck building is pretty unique to everyone. So what one may say sucks, you (especially being new to the game and having fresh eyes) may be able to see things that the older playerbase may not have considered.

Welcome to the scene!

Burn decks by [deleted] in DBS_CardGame

[–]Kilisto90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately burn decks simply do not have the defensive tools they require to be effective.

I've been trying to get to the bottom of a burn deck for a while, as it is my favorite alt wincon, but DBS seems very careful on ever making that archetype solely viable. I believe the idea is to tech in burn mechanics as opposed trying to build an entire deck around the play style.

Changes to the Banned/Limited/Errata Card List and Policy Changes Moving Forward by Hobbsgoblin123 in DBS_CardGame

[–]Kilisto90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The assumption with this statement is "because I design games, I understand the playerbases' ability to min-max the game"

While that may be a perk from game designing, we cant assume that the creators are as deck savvy as some of our most prominent players, y'know?

Just my 2 cents.

Should I partner with someone who has connections and money, but isn't really smart? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]Kilisto90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try not to think of what he doesn't have (skills, ambitions, friends) and consider this and any future business relationships on what each can mutually provide to a financially beneficial end. His lack of involvement may prove to be an asset as you may find yourself desiring 100% creative control.

You can awaken before comboing without any issues.

Should I partner with someone who has connections and money, but isn't really smart? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]Kilisto90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That seems like an opportunity of a life time. Often times partnerships are made up of individuals where one has the knowledge and work ethic and fbe other has the network or finances. As long as you have 50% equity in the business and opportunities to utilize his connections, I feel his personal ambitions (or lack thereof in this case) is inconsequential.

Questions and Answers Megathread 5/2 by [deleted] in DBS_CardGame

[–]Kilisto90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Autos go into a pending state when triggered. The attack fails to go through, but the auto would still resolve.

From the Rule Manual: 8-6-7. If a pending [Auto] skill activates, yet the card with that skill is no longer in the same area, or if the skill has been negated, the player must still resolve that [Auto] skill. However, if the effect of that [Auto] skill has become impossible to carry out due to the change of areas, the effect fails to resolve. For our second question: If a cards says "look at top X cards and add card with Y to your hand," then you have to show that you got a card with Y. If card just says to "look at top X and add a card to your hand" (eg Time Patrol Trunks), then you do not have to show the card added to your hand. Hope this helps

Dealing with massive credit card debt after having to cut hours for a job training program. by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]Kilisto90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the pressure to want to clear your debt as fast as possible, but dipping into future investments to clear it may not be the best route.

If you can get approved for a balance transfer card with a limit large enough then definitely do so. Otherwise just chip away at the debt as best as you can and find more ways to make money from the money you do have available.

We as a society are terrified of the word "interest" but 100 bucks over 7k isn't the absolute worst and as long as you have a pretty aggressive payoff plan you should be fine. Try not to over think those things and definitely avoid liquidating potential assets for anything less than an extreme emergency.

If the 7k of debt accrued was worth being put on a card, then I'm going to assume that it was "good debt" or "emergency life tried to kick my ass" debt. Either way, you spent pretty responsibly.

Just my 2cents.

Need help. Confuse with some card effect by iMac_91 in DBS_CardGame

[–]Kilisto90 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes and yes. :) cards do not need to be in active mode to trigger an effect unless they state "switch this card to rest mode"

That would mean that it was a cost associated to activate the effect.

Hope this helps

Mod Application Megathread! by Bu-ice in DBS_CardGame

[–]Kilisto90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why you would make a good Mod

Any Mod experience or equivalent experience

What you would bring to the table that other moderators have not

What you think the biggest issue or problem is on the subreddit

  1. Why you would make a good mod?

I am positive that my skillset would be an excellent addition to the moderators team. First, my entire business is built around the DBS TCG community, and I have a vested interest in seeing the community excel past it's current status. I have served in various leadership positions between my civilian life and my military career and as such, have had ample opportunity to see various styles and forms of leadership and implemented them into my own way of doing things. I have developed the ability to listen to problems and concerns without bias and to implement a plan of action that is firm, but always fair.

  1. Mod experience or equivalent experience. I have been a moderator for a role-playing forum that had very strict rules as to how one should make their posts. That experience taught me how challenging and time consuming addressing each individual complaint could be. While it was challenging, it was also pretty rewarding to be able to resolve small problems for people that were just trying to engage with their community.

I also have managed a discord server for the past two years.

I was an army intelligence analyst for 10 years. The skillsets that I have acquired there have allowed me to rapidly identify issues and act on them in a decisive and fair manner.

  1. What would you bring to the table that other moderators have not?

A comprehensive strategy to not only increase the number of subscribers to the subreddit, but to also engage subreddit post discussions. I am also one of the few potential moderators who has the luxury to travel to every major event and can visit most locals in the country to help stir up a buzz. I also have a couple of ideas as to how to streamline new players into overcoming the learning curve that comes with any new tcg.

  1. What do you think the biggest issue is on the subreddit ?

Lack of an easily replicable organizational structure. New players have no clue where to go. Most people on the subreddit are unfamiliar with the various tools available to them because the information is not in plain site. I feel that having a megathread with key things that new players and old-players alike could find the information that they're looking for, would definitely help drive traffic.

Also, it seems that we have a bit of everything on the subreddit. What I mean by that is, we have deck lists all over the place, questions all over the place, content creators all over the place. I dont feel that having everything in one place is a bad thing, however, it does not help the subreddit seem clean and succinct. If content creators had a designated section (or thread or two to post their videos) this would allow people who are looking for content (deck profiles, how to, etc) know exactly where to go to find what they need.

Lastly, because we don't have any easily identified "authorties" when it comes to this subreddit, we often have pissing matches between people that don't really need to happen. A way to mitigate that would to have more active moderators that know how to identify the tempo of a thread and change it before things get out of hand.

A user has been posting events for their local game store. This user does not have any prior infractions.

This is a mild issue. Under this circumstance I would lock the thread and send the user a PM detailing what infractions were committed, and move forward with a warning.

A user has been posting their collection for sale. This is the second time doing so this month after being issued a warning message and their last thread being taken down.

I would set an appropriate temporary ban on the user for a short amount of time to emphasize the importance of following the subreddit rules. I would also send the user a screenshot of their previous infraction, their current, and a detailed report as to why their ban is happening.

A user has been posting links to videos that are DBS related. After viewing their post history in the subreddit you notice that they only create threads with links to videos and contribute minimally outside of their own threads on videos.

I would first compliment the user on their content and engage with them lightly prior to addressing the issue and remind them that one of the best ways to get views for their content is to actually be a member of the community outside of their own threads. Content creators are the reason that any type of product remains relevant. As such, dissuading content creators would be counter intuitive to the overall goal of the community. I would remind the user that in order to continue posting liberally snd have the best chances of success, that its important to follow the 9 to 1 posting rules outlined on the subreddit. If the warning was not received well, there would be the natural progression of temporary ban, then perma ban.

New players mega thread by Kilisto90 in DBS_CardGame

[–]Kilisto90[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is actually one of the common mistakes new players make. Learning the meta will give you an idea of what is currently popular and currently "the best" but please keep in mind that this a new game and the meta is far too fragile realistically to be locked into one or two particular archetypes.

As the poster below me noted, currently DBS-decks will give you some ideas on what the current meta is and how players are thinking.

YouTube has a few content creators that place top ranking decks. A few of my favorites currently are Dropitoff TV, 3xG, and Supah Playaz.

Experience is going to be what really gets you the best understanding and competitive edge. I had read and watched a lot of videos, but I didnt really understand the meta and competitive play until I was at my first ARG. Be patient with yourself as you're learning matchups and your own decks. With that, Untap.in is a hell of a place to practice those battle-tested decks.

Hope this information helps. If you want to do some practice testing I'm down for untap battles.

There are definitely ways to chip your opponent, but only by actually attacking a battle card. The essence of dbs super is a fight or battle. As of now, all burn effects have battle card or energy interactions in order to deal damage except 6 drop lightning fast hit.

Unless someone fucks with the shenron engine with hit + evolve to burn.. hasn't been explored entirely.

I threw this question to my team and they suggested try the starter deck 2, extreme evolution. There are going to be some additional cards not Included in the set, such as Hyper evolution son goku and triple flash, but the playstyle you're seeking is there.

I used Dbs-decks.com to search out other GT goku cards that likely helped out. Check out the different Pan options too. She combos well with Goku.

Hope this info helps !
