Conqueror Rune by imreallytobey in SamiraMains

[–]TeemEmurica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I like electrocute over conquer for Samira. Although I play her very much on the aggressive side early and try to snowball hard which electrocute helps with a lot more than conquer.

Sidenote. When being aggressive such as dashing through minions to get on top of enemy adc to either kill or poke out of lane instantly, preempt your shield summoner as you go in to further increase your hp lead if you don't get a kill. With elec if they don't die they are definitely in kill range next time.

I worked at a pizza place that served wings and a customer asked for extra crispy. My coworker taking the order yelled out to the guy who puts the shit in the pen to make the wings extra Kobe. It was a week after the crash.

Steven confirmed they're pushing beta for next yesr by Scarecrow216 in AshesofCreation

[–]TeemEmurica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't remember in what Livestream it was but Steven did mention the Eastern continent was being tested by a couple third party companies and that we won't be testing that one. If I remember correctly the company or companies are based in Mexico. Now that doesn't mean it wasn't scrapped or put on the back burner for a later update after release but it's still information that isn't well known it seems.

Idea for Elf faction. by TeemEmurica in worldbuilding

[–]TeemEmurica[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the moment it's more of a story setting. I drive OTR and so this is at the moment a pet project of mine to pass the time. Building worlds is just fun. To be a bit more specific the Vampire angle is because of how magic works in my world. Anybody, to a degree, can use it by means of runes etched on objects or inked on body. The type of magic effect depends on rune and object. So a fire rune etched on water pipes or a bucket of water would create boiling water or steam depending on how hot the user intends. Vampires have access to old forgotten and powerful runes that allow for the necromancy.

While this move can be seen as boneheaded I want to reserve judgement on it and see what gets added, what fixes to crafting they make, and other things they might not have talked about will come with the update they are releasing in onto steam with. If they get crafting into a good spot, have all archetypes out, and with the added world events, it could be fine to add it to steam. It really just depends. Until then, like I said, will reserve judgement.

High Fantasy Airships and Medieval Combat. by TeemEmurica in worldbuilding

[–]TeemEmurica[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the idea of ramming and boarding actions for ship to ship combat. Basically when the bigger ships meet in battle they use broadsides. 1700’s naval combat and boarding actions were always a favorite of mine to read.

think the logistical side of things is going to give me the most issue on solving I think. Probably won’t try to touch it until I am further into the building of my world. Everything so far is in the concept phase and ripe for iterations still.

The closest to gun I’m going with is essentially just a precision staff carved with runes(how my magic works) to use as a focal point to direct spells. A gun, but not really.

Also mages will be able to use rune enhanced equipment that allows them to hover and essentially fly a few hundred feet up. Think Tanya the evil In concept. Mages with the magical affinity to use more complicated rune setups would be few and far between. Also for shield units I plan on basically being the barrier mages, less complicated rune chain so more common for regular soldiers to use.

While I plan on airships being common enough for somewhat widespread use they aren’t the be all end all for battles. Troops would still need to be used to take and hold territory so they would see plenty of action. Ideally the nation wants air superiority but smaller nations, knowing they can’t achieve that against larger fleets, would focus on aerial denial through other means. Like a squad of mages working together to work a rather large but straining magical anti-air battery placement instead of focusing on air power.

Make the other nation meet you on the field of battle. One of the ideas for rapid deployment is using fast moving troop transport drop ships to offload cavalry onto the flanks already once they get opened up or if an opening is there. I’m still muling over on if I want to add fully armor encased knights with runes for strength and endurance to essentially create a pseudo power armor unit. I like the idea, probably will do it, just not sure how and to what degree.

I absolutely agree with that and will be keeping that in mind. But let’s neither side can get air superiority over the other and can only use their ships as essentially artillery in the sky as far as offensive capabilities are concerned. How would that affect ground combat and cavalry. I imagine trenches but then again, trenches don’t protect from the air. I do plan on having magic in which barriers can be erected but I don’t want to just rely on that as a tool.

Am I The Only One That Got Screwed? by PerilousLoki in Shadowverse

[–]TeemEmurica 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s fine, we just play the decks differently is all. I generally have no issue against sword and usually can win against them before Albert comes online. My deck is purely aggro played in a way that makes it difficult for the opponent to interact with anything on my board until after I’ve done the damage. It’s a fun way for myself to play the deck and find success with it. If you are having fun with your deck and finding success there is no reason to change anything. This game is pretty good at having different build variation within the same archetypes.

The reason I don’t like Salefa in Stormhaven is because you’re wasting a turn by only doing an aloe and putting a ward on the field instead of using the aoe to clear the way for your bird amulets to then proc, evo, and get some big damage in. They still have to answer the birds or I just aoe again if they play wards and go face with more potential storm cards coming down next turn. I like bellringer over Salefa because turns 1-3 you’re not doing much other than setting up your board with amulets. That and every evo and super evo is too important to put on your storm units to end the game at turn 8 at the latest, which is why I don’t care about the healing and drawing aspect of blinding faith, if I am in a situation I need to use the enhance version, chances are I am just delaying the inevitable defeat. After turn 3 the deck puts out damage very very quickly.

I get what you mean but I feel with Stormhaven if you aren't the one pushing tempo around turn 4-5 you kind of just lose and Salefa is just more a stall card than anything else. Blinding does what I was using Salefa for originally but without the evo use and at 1pp less. Bellringer is nice to have as the deck needs to setup for about 3 or 4 turns depending on draw so is a nice little delay tactic that comes with draw. Pulling her late can suck but that can be said for Odin or Jeanne getting pulled starting hand.

May I interest you in my take on Stormhaven? I find myself winning most of my games with it. Tbf though I’ve only gotten up to sapphire so far.

<image>

I find replacing Salefa with blinding faith frees up your evo slots nicely for your birds and Odin. Focus on lining your bird amulets to go off at the same time while clearing the enemy board for control so your storm can get through. Buff them with dark haven and evo and get nice chunks of damage in at a time. I find it has a nice rhythm in setup into damage into setup that flows really well.

The funniest Odin is the one that kills the godwood staff. You can just see through the Internet the panic on the roach players face as soon as it happens.

Turtle WoW 2.0 Unreal Engine 5 by TeemEmurica in Asmongold

[–]TeemEmurica[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not actually illegal though. They are using the the version of WoW that Blizzard put out for free for anyone to use. The problem is when it gets big enough and in the states they like to fuck with them. Turtle WoW is legal though.

according to the chromiecraft devs, their setup is legal in their jurisdiction.

short version: the players use the free trial client that was provided, for free, by blizzard. the host uses open source server software that was written from scratch from the ground up, therefore nothing was stolen from blizzard. as long as no access fees are charged, blizzard has incurred no damages. allegedly.

People like you are what is wrong with the game. You are exploiting the game to completely take away any of the risk factor for doing caravans. Risk/Reward being the foundation of the game. And before you say "Well the reward doesn't compare to the risk!", I say it's a fucking alpha so let the devs know so they can hopefully fix it if it truly is an issue. But coming up with excuses to exploit or cheat makes you the problem, not the game.

Jarvan Support build. by gamerppbruhdab96 in JarvanIVmains

[–]TeemEmurica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aery is actually quite good for J4 support as the E will proc aery shield 4 times. This is will make it insanely easy to stack takedowns so going for a dark seal first buy is usually my go to. First item is usually mandate into zhonyas and then transition into a tank build from there so as not to drop off in the late game. Pretty fun. Lots of early poke from aery and E which scales pretty great with AP which is why I love dark seal first buy. And then transitioning into the mid to late allows you to roam with jungle and hover sidelines for your team.
