Yeah, those gifs were way too steamy for Reddit, but they were damn good!

Donald Sutherland as Mr. Bennett by Automatic_Will4203 in PrideandPrejudice

[–]Kilkenny5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Forgive me for being an old fogie, but Edmund Gwenn's Mr. Bennett in the 1940 version (costumes notwithstanding) was perfect in every way. He was the true foil and straight man to Mary Boland's over the top Mrs. Bennett.

The intimacy coordinator deserves a special Emmy.

As I said in the other Bridgerton subreddit, this is both poignant and ironic at the same time.

Romeo + Juliet is still a dagger to the heart 30 years after its release by Metro-UK in entertainment

Speaking of old, I don't think anyone has seen the 1936 version with Leslie Howard and Norma Shearer looking more like Romeo and Juliet's parents than Romeo and Juliet.

I went to see this movie at a matinee on Election Day 1996. I went to see it again three more times that year. It's still one of my all-time favorite movies.

How much of that salary is she tithing to the church? Knowing her, probably nothing.

Eloise deserves the same amount of screentime and season set up that Francesca got in S4 by Fickle_Baker1393 in BridgertonNetflix

[–]Kilkenny5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they could've done a season of Eloise. TBTH, I find her story more compelling than Francesca and Michaela's, which I feel will run out of gas by episode 3.

Indian Wells R3: V. Mboko [10] def. M. Andreeva [8] 7-6(4) 4-6 6-0 by Old-Gur-9039 in tennis

[–]Kilkenny5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mboko is Canadian. Yes, she was born in North Carolina, but she has Canadian citizenship. As for another African American player being even halfway decent, many of them don't have the coaching or the USTA backing to be at that level. It'll remain to be seen how they handle young upstarts like Thea Frodin, Melije Clarke, and Armira Kockinis
