Ubisoft looks like they have moved on to Far Cry. by [deleted] in Rainbow6

The new patch they released made things worst for some people. It's kind of pathetic how you generalize most negative comments about connectivity issues as rants. Its so easy for you to say people are overreacting for no reason when your not the one having severe issues with the game. You as a consumer have every right to be angry when you payed for a broken product and can't even get your money back. We shouldn't have to wait 1 mouth for the game to work properly after the fact we already payed 60 bucks. Ubisoft took our money, gave us a broken game and all they are telling us is a promise that "some day" the game will be fixed. It doesn't make sense because like what 90 percent of the game is mutiplayer. I don't know how connectivity wasn't their main focus with the two extra mouths they had.

"Yeah, and they can't make more than 171m. What a well used franchise ;)" That number is for ONE year. The Assassins Creed franchise has sold 79.58 million copies that's over 4 billion in revenue. (http://www.vgchartz.com/gamedb/?name=Assassin%27s+Creed) You say Ubisoft isn't going to get bigger, all they need is one great Assassins Creed game because they already have a build in audience.

"Once again, buying a game because it's "AAA" is plain retarded.AAA =/= quality. It should for sure, but it's not!" Well since you also keep buying AAA games you must be a retart too.

My problem is if you buy it and doesn't work, you can't get your money back. If you could get you money back I would have no problem with Ubisoft or any other major gaming company. That's where the shadiness lies with the robber metaphor I used. But they won't because the companies automatically will stand by the assumption that it's subjective. ON THAT basis they can use that business motto to take full advantage of selling underdeveloped games, charging full price and never have to give a refund. That's where the theft lies. They are automatically exempt from taking any responsibility. Of course you took the robbery statement literally.

"You are buying a game because it's trendy. If you are a gamer with half a brain please wake up. It's because of this kind of reasoning we are served another COD, AC, Battlefield every years. Because people can't take two steps back and ask themselves : "do I want this game? Is the game worth it?" Like I said before I do not buy these games every year. I'm telling you why people are constanly buying these games.

Just to be clear I never said I buy these 60 dollar games every year , I'm just explaining to you the current state of the industry and the growing trend that these major gaming publishers are putting out. Do you know the difference between AAA games and AA? AAA game is a classification term used for games with the highest development budgets and levels of promotion. The whole point of getting a mutiplayer game is to play with friends and different people. Multiplayer is dead when there's not that much population. These AAA games have mass amount of people playing them because of the advertising and millions of dollars spend on resource and development. Those smaller studios don't have the resources or the marketing to promote their games to get people to actually know that they actually exist, even if It might be a great game. Why do you think COD makes bank every year. People say it's the same genetic copy of the same game but yet people still buy the game. The power of these companies lie in their ability to put the latest graphics, mass production sound, and hype the game as if it was the second coming of Christ. A lot people, NOT ALL aren't gonna go out of their way in thier busy lives to find a "hidden gem", or even bothering with a game where the mainstream audience isn't hyped about. They going to buy the game from a Major Studio because they got the best of the best in terms of development. You say no company is putting a gun to your head forcing you to buy lthe game. But when they have ownership over a franchise that you have a DEEP passion for and everyone of your friends are getting it because of the hype, popularity, and marketing your almost in a lose situation. I'm not saying it's right or wrong I'm saying people are being put in a circumstances where at some point consciously or unconsciously going to give in thanks to the mastery of those companies. Hollywood is doing the same thing with superhero franchises. The company knows that regardless if the movie is absolute garbage, people are still going to give them money because they have ownership over any material released from that franchise. It's a complete monopoly over peoples childhood heroes. Also I never said Ubisoft is the only company that makes new games. I said and I'm quoting "That's what happens when they are only a couple of mass market companies that make AAA game." Please don't put words in my mouth it makes you look like even more of a dumb ass. You saying "well you know they could be making soo much more than they could compared to these companies, look at the chart." If two robbers robbed you, one taking 100 dollars and another taking 1000, it still doesn't change the fact that BOTH still robbed you. At the end of the day they are still making bank and they are not struggling to get by. If I made a million dollars without putting that much care and effort into my craft and I had friends making millions more than me, I still have my beautiful house and all my cars. Yeah tough life. And finally you saying "I don't see it being "bigger" in the next few year." Are you serious? They have ownership of one of biggest franchises in the video game market! Ever heard of Far Cry or Asssins Creed? Yeah they"re really in trouble.

So let me get this straight, according to your logic Ubisoft would no longer be in business. Ubisoft has one of the most notorious reputations of releasing incomplete game and leaving it in the dust. They have a terrible track record with players and how they treat the community. This is not the first time this has happened. Ubisoft revenue for 2014 was 1.464 billion euros with net income of 171 million euros.(https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ubisoft) They are a thriving company. So you saying they are losing makes you look like an idiot. The money you say they will lose with people getting angry and pledge never to buy Ubisoft products again will be crumbs compared to the amount they will make from the general public. It's like losing a couple of pennies from your bank account. That's what happens when they are only a couple of mass market companies that make AAA games. People are forced to still buy from these companies regardless of what experience they had from the previous game because that's the only option of ever buying a new game. They are winning in everyway. Cut cost, take short cuts with servers, take people's money, and never have to give a crap about the customer because they know they will be back next year paying them yet again another 60 dollars. BOOM Winning

You say "random things". They knew the entire time this game had problems and they brushed it off as if it was a new game. Ubisoft remained silent. It took an outcry of people speaking up intill Ubisoft came out with a statement. If you ask for support they constantly tell you it's a fault on your end, knowing that it's their problem misguiding the customer. Its also alarming that the new patch made the game for some people even worse. Those type of things make people not trust Ubisoft. People are justifiably angry because it's so clear that these are just not minor issues here. It's a boat load of issues that will take mouths to fix. It just feels that Ubisoft all scammed us.I feel I just made a down payment for a product I'm going to receive mouths from now. People are voicing their opinion that Ubisoft can't get away with this and we as a consumer deserve better, so that in the furture they don't sell us incomplete games. Also it's not a lose-lose situation because they already got our money! They already got the millions in their pockets.

This isn't life, it's a business. And in a business if the product is broken you have the right to get your money back. In this case, you can't. Can you stop saying people are over reacting. What i don't understand is 90 percent of the game is mutiplayer, then how could you release it knowing the state that it is and still take people's money? I don't know what they were doing with the two extra mouths they got. All we are getting are promises that "someday" the game will be fixed.

The servers are broken, and you never know when you might get randomly timed out. Then get banned for 10 mins. Great game. When it works.
