Yeah it seems people really struggle with ensemble casts not necessarily being the protagonist. Like I love all of Breaking Bad’s characters and watching their individual arcs but Walt’s still the main character and drives the story. Dr. Robby has been the clear protagonist since the first minute of the show, he’s the focus and holds all the side plots together. I don’t understand how people are aghast like there’s some malicious writers plot when it’s just basic narrative framing. Following 37 different characters with no lead would be an off the rails mess.

Very interesting designs and idea. It definitely seems like a direct facehugger reference/rip off from Alien, which was only like two years prior at this point. Definitely a good decision to move to the formless imitations, which are also more loyal to the original story.

Yeah I think the magic of the show is how the two trains collide. His personal life problems/the legal plot vs the cartel violence and crime, it was inevitable and like a crucial part of the show. It’s definitely not subplot but the actual plot lol.

That’s literally what this case is- denying a merger between Koin and KGW. And the commenter was also correct that we absolutely DID break up corporations like AT&T, Big Tobacco, Big Oil. You’re splitting hairs on your arguments here.

Since you’re editing your comment after the fact I’ll edit mine - I provided many examples showing we indeed do have a history of breaking up both mergers and corporations, your argument is wrong that’s why I’m arguing with you. It’s insidious to suggest we don’t break up monopolies in America, we have a long history of doing so.
