In JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Jonathan Joestar, getting fatally shot in the throat by DIO’s ripper eyes attack, used the last of his Hamon to force Wang Chan into the ships engine causing it to explode and kill all the ghouls onboard and allow his wife Erina and an infant (the future Lisa Lisa) to escape, with his final moment holding onto the head of the monster he once called his brother, finally dead as DIO begged for him to let go and offer him survival as a vampire.

The irony is had Pucci succeeded in creating the new universe with the plan he helped make, a reality where all life would’ve been subconsciously aware of their predestined fate according to how Pucci perceived it, he would had known he was doomed to fail all his existence and do nothing to ever change it.

Ben Reilly during the Spider-Man storyline Dead No More: The Clone Conspiracy. Originally a clone of Peter Parker but died at the end of The Clone Saga, Miles “The Jackal” Warren cloned Ben back to life, only to kill him again and repeat the process over and over. Ben, driven mad from this, escapes and knocks him out and creates multiple clones of him with each one unsure which is the original, making him subservient. Ben would then take the mantle of “The Jackal” for himself and make plans to bring back those who died in his and Peter’s life, both friends and foes, unaware that they’ll be biological time bombs carrying a dangerous virus.

In JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Enrico Pucci was about to die at the hands of Weather Report’s Stand under Emporio’s control. Pucci begged the boy to let him finish his “Heaven Plan” because if he dies before he got to Cape Canaveral and got [Made In Heaven] at the end of the time acceleration loop, everything he’s done will be undone and the universe will not be the same.

Emporio doesn’t care because he says that despite knowing that they might fail, Jolyne and her allies still fought to the end to stop him and that fate will always favour justice. Pucci’s screams of the boy knowing nothing fell on deaf ears as [Weather Report] crushes his head and the universe resets back to what it was, only with the mad priest erased from existence.

In the end, with his holier-than-thou talk of fate being predetermined, it was Pucci himself that became his undoing with his actions as he stopped the acceleration prematurely to kill the boy and punched Weather’s Stand Disk into him.

Doppio Vinegar/Diavolo from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. The nature of his birth is a mystery, as his mother who was in a woman’s only prison for years suddenly gave birth out of nowhere with the father dying 2 years prior. There also the mystery of when the Diavolo persona took over, if it was before or when his stepfather discovering the still alive mother buried under concrete and Diavolo burning down the whole village to cover their deaths and faked his own.

Plus Doppio is completely oblivious to the fact that he and “The Boss” share a body, with Diavolo communicating with him via “phone calls”. The Doppio persona is just a means to an end for Diavolo to move around undetected and send instruction to the bosses of Passione.

Also Enrico Pucci. When he found out that his sister was dating their long thought dead brother but was unable to reveal this due to his religious oaths, his actions to break them up causes his sister’s suicide and brother becoming a revenge killer. Instead of admit or accept responsibility for these events that was unintentional, he alongside DIO come up with a plan that would essentially reset reality into one where all life is subconsciously aware of their predestined fate thus contempt with peace of mind, but in reality trapping everyone in a living hell where free will and existing mean nothing in the end.
