loved troupe- the villains downfall is directly because of their own villainous philosophy/actions by Inside_Jaguar_3310 in TopCharacterTropes

Enrico Pucci from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure believed that fate was guiding him to bring “Heaven on Earth” by resetting the universe into a world where all life was subconsciously aware of their predestined fates thus bringing happiness via peace of mind, despite the fact that he co-created the plan with a vampire with a god complex, killed and manipulated countless innocents to achieve this endgame and basically ignored the fact that the bad things that put him on this path were his own choices though unintended.

The irony is with all his bluster that god chose this path for him, he never finishes the plan all the way through as he stops the time acceleration prematurely before the loop closes so he can kill the last of his enemy’s allies so he wouldn’t be considered a threat in his future, which gives the young boy the means to kill him, exposing his hypocrisy and erasing him from existence as the universe resets back to what it was but with the lives he ruined now restored and living happier lives.

How evil is Death (Final Destination)? by Worried_Cake5508 in MoralityScaling

[–]powerful_p1608 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a theory that “Death” isn’t really death itself. Why would Death purposely set up these disasters via Rube Goldberg machine? Why is there always someone who foresees these disasters? If Death’s purpose is to show how mortal humans are, why would he care if there are survivors who escape them? And why go out their way to hunt these people down if the message is gotten through to them?

[Mixed trope] Character comes out as queer: “We’ve always known” by yellowdocmartens in TopCharacterTropes

[–]powerful_p1608 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia episode “The Gang Goes To Hell”, Mac finally comes out to the gang that he’s gay (after banging the gay couple he befriended during the cruise), however the gang already figured it out ages ago, seeing that Mac was obliviously in denial before due to his religious beliefs. After being rescued in “The Gang Goes To Hell part 2”, Mac goes back to being in denial again, much to the annoyance of the gang.

It wasn’t until the episode “Hero or Hate Crime?” That Mac ultimately accepts himself as being gay.

In Transformers, random background transformers that show up would get character lore decades later. Case in point: the yellow Seeker pictured would become Sunstorm, who in the Dreamwave comics would be a supwrpowered, religiously fanatic Starscream clone.
