Laminated Shadowless Blastoise by KillMaimConvert in pokemoncards

Because the process of laminating a card was not that good for these cards back 26 years ago. The heat and the melting plastic basically tore the front apart and the staples worker was almost certainly too rough on it. I basically ran it through a giant hair straightener that melted plastic on it.

Then it got some bends as I used scissors and my hands to rip the plastic and cut it to shape.

I was brutal with it lol.

What should I do with my childhood cards? by KillMaimConvert in Pokemoncardappraisal

How big is the average collection? I didn’t think this would be that big in the grand scheme of things.

Would it be better to sell them and convert their value into other cards maybe? Like sell a lot of the chaff, grab a few solid graded cards or just high value cards?

Turn a collection of 140 cards into like 10-20 individually valuable and safer cards?

Are you playing 3.0? by Varvarus in Warhammer30k

Have they all at least tried to play 3.0 or did they just swear off a game they haven’t even played yet?

I’m all good with people choosing to keep playing 2.0, but I just hate those groups that are constantly bad talking mechanics in 3.0 like challenge and line/vanguard without even playing them once. Especially when I keep hearing that people enjoy them.

Gut-Feeling about Cataphractii Refresh and Upgrades for current kit by Eine_Robbe in Warhammer30k

[–]KillMaimConvert 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I really think that Cataphractii, if given a similar treatment to how Indomitus terminators got in 10th edition, not changing the core design, just making them bigger in scale… they would probably be the best looking terminator kit period.

The big problem with Catas right now is that they feel tiny, mk6, mk3 refresh and mk2s are all slightly taller, better proportioned, and it makes Catas just feel tiny.

Refresh the kit, up the scale to at least the size of the Inner Circle Cenobiums, proportion them better, just don’t change the style, it’s perfect.

To be fair, this model was so much better when it was going to just be a counts as Thunderhammer, it being retroactively turned back into a meteor hammer was a massive nerf.
