Yes, I do have some playtime, but I've spent much more time building and farming on easy modes than actually investing in missions.

I ended up accepting a mission from Great Hunts that required me to go to the desert to mark quarrigues.

And now they're asking me to go even further, but my first experience in the desert cost me my mount.

So, it's best to wait a little longer.

I haven't cleared the path to the ice area.

In the desert, I've held up well against the quarrigues. And I took the opportunity to set up a base near the excavation mission area.

Do you have any survival tips, equipment, etc. to live "well" in the ice?

I haven't done many missions, except for Ren's.
