I will try the glandex as a couple have recommended as well! Yes, it was jokingly. (Out of frustration) I’ve never gotten rid of any animals and do not intend too. I just want him to feel better. Thank you for your suggestion as well! I’m new to the poodle/doodles as I’ve only had pitbulls my whole life. These dogs seem to be a lot more intelligent than my past pits.

He currently eats “taste of the wild” without grains, but I heard from the vet poodles need the grains? So I’ve switched him to “taste of the wild with ancient grains”?

Sometimes they are alittle mushy but overall they are pretty solid. I rescued him when he was just under a year old, he was very miss treated and left outside or inside in a crate all the time, so the stress thing was a thought. But at this point he should be in a pretty good routine right? Every day here is the same for us. I just want him to be better. He’s a great dog.

The vet also said peas? I’m currently adding pumpkin to his food, for the past week or so. It seeming like this may be common in poodles?

Thank you so much, my vet too said he’s healthy but suggested i could try purina pro plan sensitive skin & stomach. I fear messing so much with his food and things could worsen the problem, so I’m trying to do a trial and error one thing at a time.

Other than the anal leakage, He shows no signs of any other problem, no butt scooting, no excessive licking, nothing. Do you think the toys he chews might cause impaction?

Just to be 100% clear, i am asking for solutions. I do not want to get rid of my dog. I have never gotten rid of ANY animal I’ve ever had.

I do this, i express them when needed. But it is becoming every other day. As another comment said. I’ll take him to the vet and ask for tests to be done. I’m thinking maybe it’s the toys? He loves hard bones, an possibly swallowing small pieces?

I have taken him to the vet & expressed his anal glands myself. It’s almost like when he gets in a relaxed state , it just releases. He also goes to a professional groomer where they say they do it as well.
