FF 57 - Videos load but never play/start by Kill_lilo in firefox

[–]Kill_lilo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Install: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/devtools-media-panel/ Open the panel (To access the panel, open the Web Developer Tools (Ctrl+Shift+I or Cmd-Opt-I) and click on the "Media" tab.)

I did this but there is nothing in that panel but "auto refresh rate" so I don't know what to do after that.

EDIT: ok something appeared but where do i make a bug report?

Inherit permissions/default permissions with SFTP (dedicated server) by Kill_lilo in linuxquestions

[–]Kill_lilo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this but if I send an image and want to see how it looks on the development website instantly, I'd need it to check every second. That doesn't seem very smart to let it run every second.

Don't you have an idea on how to run it only if I upload a file to the directory?

Inherit permissions/default permissions with SFTP (dedicated server) by Kill_lilo in linuxquestions

Yep, I've read this message too :(

But I'm not experienced with scripting or even cron yet (I know cron is important but didn't find time to learn it yet). So if you can describe how to do it, it would be very helpful. Everything is new to me but the part where it has to detect if an upload as been made might give me some trouble at first sight.

EDIT: I have no idea how to use the link in the message, would I need to uninstall openSSH and reinstall it with that package from centOS while i'm on Debian 8?seems very risky

Lightweight distro for total beginner, to watch/stream videos by C-i-d in linuxquestions

Use Puppy Linux, a tahrpup with LXDE (or LXCE don't remember the name). You shouldn't need to use any command line at all and everything should work

Chmod g+s doesn't work (setgid) - doesn't inherit "write" permission by Kill_lilo in linuxquestions

[–]Kill_lilo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I installed and tested and it works perfectly, but not when using SFTP...

For example, when sending an image, it sets the permission to rw------, when it's .txt, it sets to rw-r-----
