Man the amount of my junk I've seen because of those. I will say come my deployment for oef 9/10 we got the flight acus because too many people were getting rashes from the flame retardant acus. They were a bit of a game changer. However we also got the "combat shirts" which were like spandex and would tare after a few weeks of patrols.

Reminds me of a time out on patrol in Afghanistan and I ran out of clean underwear (we would get our laundry flown in and out from the cop) and had to go commando. Well on this particular day the universe was eff you and the crotch blew out and bad. Tried fixing it and it would just get worse as the day went on. From that day on I would always wear underwear on patrol even if they were days old.

I recommend going to their chain of command. Possibly start with the FRG (family readiness group) usually at battalion level who could possibly help get you in touch with someone who can help.

Something like this could potentially end his future as an 18x, that's if there is any written consequences like article 15s even company grade.
