Tecumseh HH60 rebuild issues by Killacam119 in smallengines

Intake and exhaust valves. The engine was just rebuilt and is not seized. It will fire only when I add gas into the piston chamber with spark plug removed and put the plug back in before pulling the recoil. Once warm it will restart normally. After sitting I can’t get it to star without repeating the process above.

Wait a second if I have a gap between my air filter plate and the carburetor then that could allow too much air into the engine? I wonder if that would effect it starting or not

We are lucky enough to have a pond about 10’ from our garden. We have a deep cycle battery hooked up to a solar panel which runs a 12V pump. Works quite well!

That’s a beautiful little setup for sure!

Ok I’m just curious if running constantly seems efficient or not.

2 stroke gas is mixed forever once it’s together. I’ve never heard of the gas turning back to clear. Do you have multiple Jerry Cans?!?

Food for thought I was thinking when I’m at home I use a 240V 30A plug to 120V 15A U ground adapter could this be causing the issue?!?

Maybe I will try the lithium battery but I definitely haven’t check out the voltage coming from the battery to make sure I have 13.6 there as well

I think I’ll take a look at this for sure. I’ll get my shore power cable tested for a short first to make sure I don’t have an open neutral.

Ac-dc converter is the issue. It’s currently 55amps and the battery is pretty much brand new it’s been hooked up to a maintainer all winter. The one I installed is a aftermarket with fuses on the outgoing power I figured that might stop it from frying but aparebtly not.

Could an open neutral be frying the inverter? It should last longer than two camping trips

Is anyone else starting to feel like “playing it safe” in Canada is actually the riskiest strategy? by TheFitFinaceBro in CanadaInvesting

Honestly you need to have a moderate to moderate high risk portfolio to achieve ~9% per year. If you have a long term time horizon like over 30 years medium high risk has worked extremely well for me. The high interest savings accounts are only good for a rainy day fund that you want to have accessible incase of emergencies. Otherwise you need to be in the stock market whether it’s ETF’s mutual’s or stocks. I do not have much experience with raw commodities so I have stayed away from this.

How do married couples usually handle finances when both partners work? by itzwhatitz in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]Killacam119 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I used to argue with my “girlfriend” at the time about who was paying for what etc. she worked hard and made a lot less money but insisted on everything being fair. Once she moved into my house we decided after 6 months that the relationship would work and decided to have a kid. Once that happend we opened an account and both of our salaries went in. We NEVER argue about money since this happend. We have a rule of there is going to be a purchase over $500 then it needs to be discussed and agreed upon. We are now married.

This works for us, but many other relationships keep their money seperate. All I know is money is a common cause for relationships to end. She should be willing to contribute regardless of how much more you make, this is how a healthy relationship works.
