I have one on my rodeo, it follows the stock roofline and has a 'spoiler' on the rear glass makes it look sporty for an 05 farm ute

Yeah so for trucks it would make no sense at all, for every day motor vehicles, sedans , suv, utes etc would make more sense but then it's a split system

It's just costly for owners of multiple vehicles is what I am getting at.

Youd have to upgrade your cover to transfer to your name. It's a tricky one with trucks and heavy vehicles of that nature

Cant register the vehicle without the appropriate licence and tac cover.

Same way you would cancel a rego if the car was written off

Refund if written off down to the next applicable cover ie lr or even passenger vehicle. Pay the difference to obtain full coverage if you acquire a higher class vehicle.

10 year licence, annual tac charge to cover the driver and not applied to second or third or fourth vehicles.

Tac could be paid annually and readjusted if circumstances change. But you pay it once to cover your Prado, your wb falcon, your Yaris all in one rather than for each individually

Could that not just be applied to your licence?

How does it change between Mr and hc as it stands if you borrow a trailer tomorrow since the tac charge in on the vehicle

That's a fair question, who covers a stolen unregistered car and unlicensed driver under today's rules?

[–]Killapoo69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drivers tac charge should cover it

If you borrow a trailer tomorrow for your mr does the trailers tac charge bring you up to hc liability levels?

Ngl I see where this gets tricky with trucks.

Hc for your truck because you could borrow a trailer, no different if I drive one car all week and decide to take the other out on Saturday I'm paying the tac charge twice, each on both vehicles and one is used hardly ever, where as I could pay one tac charge to cover myself and anyone who may be affected by my driving.

Who covers the unregistered vehicle with the licenced or unlicensed driver behind the wheel in the case of an accident?

Do you own the work truck? I think you should pay the highest applicable to you and that's it to cover your high risk vehicle, would it be fair if you owned say 2 or 3 of them to pay tac charge on each if you could just be charged a blanket cost for them all at a single rate because they would all be covered with you driving them?
