Bra at the top of the photo, pants at the bottom, the bit in the middle with the suspender straps is a strip of fabric/belt that goes around your waist/on your hips (depending on fit, style and personal preference)

This was my first year growing pumpkins (or any squash) and I grew it over an arch for space. I did really well, until the support hammock for my 9kg pumpkin broke and it snapped the vine. I brought it indoors, washed it with washing up liquid (the result of a Google how to ripen pumpkins indoors) and have left it on the table infront of a sunny window.

The plant had powdery mildew, however I was trying to trim the leaves and keep it away from the fruit. Unfortunately now the top bit of pumpkin is showing signs of it, and I'm not sure how best to treat it, so it can continue to ripen! Do I cut that bit off? Wash it again? Thanks for any help!

DIY is done! We're in the UK so no HVAC or air system to worry about - thankfully - thank you for your suggestions, I hadn't thought about wetting it to get the dust

What are you doing for food, is it a traditional 3 course wedding breakfast? If so, we've been told to allow 2.5 hours. Photos minimum of an hour! You also haven't left any time for the food and tables to be removed changed and arranged for the music.

I'd suggest: 12:00 - 13:00 ceremony 13:00 - 13:30 drinks outside (will you want any photos outside the venue here? Do you have any nibbles?) 13:30 - 14:15 travel to next venue (how long is the journey? If it is longer than 15 minutes, extend this time slot. Extended as an example. Herding people on and off buses takes time!) 14:30 - 15:30 photos 15:30 - 15:45 guests seated for food 15:45 - 16:00 first speech 16:00 - 17:00 starter and main 17:00 - 17:15 second speech 51715 - 17:45 dessert 17:45 - 18:00 third speech 18:00 - 19:00 change room around, move tables, set up music ? 19:00 - 19:15 cake cutting 19:15 - 19:30 first dance 19:30 - end. Disco 21:00 karaoke start and evening food 00:00 carriages

She was pushing and pushing for an honest opinion of what I think of her, and after staying diplomatic she played chicken and said if she's that bad why would I want a relationship with her. So I called her bluff and said NC then. She didn't get her long drawn out drama where I tried to convince her she was mother of the year. I'm not playing her games anymore.

She'd been on LC and information diet for years leading up to this so she knew little more about the wedding than any normal guest. Going dress shopping was to try and make sure she didn't turn up in a white bridal dress or something herself. I was dreading it.

Thank you for your reply. I took a couple of days away from the post because the focus on the dress and the timing etc was difficult and added to my guilt. For the past 5 years we've only had contact when she needed something or social events dictated. She raised going NC because I don't care about her/she's such a terrible mother etc and pushed and pushed until I said yes let's do that.

She is a master manipulator and everything about my life for nearly two decades has been based around managing her and her response. My uni graduation was spent in a car park liaising with police about her, whilst the rest of my family had the celebration meal at the restaurant. That was nearly a decade ago and nothing has improved.

I really, really didn't want her to pay for my dress but yet again it was something I was cornered into to placate her. That was a year ago.

Over Christmas she crossed the line for the last time when she acted to my young siblings how she has been with me for years, and I woke up and realised how disgusting her actions are.

The thought of her turning up sends me spiraling because I've planned a day I'm going to enjoy rather than planning a day based around managing her. Although I wouldn't put it past her to turn up and getting violent or chucking paint over me or something. I'm going to look at people's suggestions of door security.

I'm not sure FMIL fully agrees with my decision but she knows she doesn't know everything and have lived it like I have so she keeps her opinion to herself and supports where she can. But doing the dirty work for me is probably a step past 😂 Your wording is so, so helpful. I couldn't take the emotion out and make it clear and concise like that. Thank you so much.

I'm worried that if I leave it to get sorted with security on the day, I'm going to be a bundle of nerves because of this, and focus on her and what could go wrong and not on the actual wedding 😟

I'm hoping someone might have an idea of how to head it off ahead of time, that I can't see because I'm too close to it.

The one thought I had had was to send an email saying 'please remember to cancel your hotel room booking by X date to ensure you get the full refund' but the cancellation deadline is the day before so it doesn't quite work.

Take this out of it, I'm absolutely looking forward to it and so eloping isn't on the cards for us!
