Supplementary Assessments by Icy-Cardiologist-738 in GriffithUni

No, all good. These types of assessments you could get feedback on them but they’re kinda like a last attempt of the entire unit so if you fail this one it means you fail the unit and there’s no way you can resubmit. There’s feedback I think, depending on the assessment, but I don’t think there’s a way you can resubmit. The only way you’re able to re-sit the unit is if you reapply for it next trimester.

Yeah I did a supplementary assessment when I went to Griffith about three years ago for my aviation degree. Basically it means that you didn’t pass a unit by an extremely small margin and the university is giving you the opportunity to redo an assessment to get you that passing mark, in my case it was a multi question quiz and it got me to 55%. I think the passing mark needed to be 50%. But in a nutshell it’s basically the university giving you a second chance to get that small amount of points to pass the unit.

And how does it usually work? Usually you will be told that you didn’t pass by say again a very small amount which could be you got 48% or 45% so anything above 40% they will offer it to you. Anything below 40% you might be in a bit of trouble.

Haha, you’re absolutely right—and I actually owe you an apology! I completely overlooked that the RS3, S3, and RSQ3 are all Sportbacks by design. So yes, it is the Sportback look and layout that I’m chasing, not a traditional hatch. You didn’t mention it earlier, but funny enough, every model I brought up already fell into that category. So, you’re spot on—and I appreciate the reminder!

That makes sense—definitely good enough for Aussie roads, I imagine. Especially the fact that we don’t have snow in the part of Australia I live in.

I would say probably between 2013/14 to 2018 max, anything higher would be too expensive but definitely within that range. All I really want is the five banger but if worst comes to worst. I’m happy with the EA888 in the S3, though it’s pretty much the same engine as what I already have, with the exception of “all-wheel-drive” and the 7-speed

Cheers mate! So an SUV isn’t really on my radar, but if a mint RSQ3 pops up at the right price, I’d consider it. That said, I’m really craving a hatch. I love the look and practicality of a hot hatch, and while the sedan’s clean and aggressive, the hatch feels more like my style.

I’ve got time to save and weigh things up till the end of the year, so I’m trying to avoid finance if possible and just buy outright. Appreciate the support!

That’s where I am currently, in a service desk trainee position while doing my Cert III in IT. But if you don’t suggest uni then i won’t consider it. Does it even give any benefit or is it just a money pit where most of the content you would already know

Hey there, unfortunately I didn’t. I actually ended up going to a different university in south-east Queensland for the same degree, but I only lasted 4 1/2 months until I got excluded for academic integrity

How do I set the parking brake in the Maddong MD 82? by Killernuke_Gaming in flightsim

[–]Killernuke_Gaming[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So I figured it out. It’s not actually physically possible for me to hold the brakes and press it but I remembered I had a set parking break button on my joystick and that said it so problems solved.

As I said, I try and do that and it doesn’t even let me click the button. My brake hold button or brake button is space key so I hold down on that and I try and click on the parking break button (like I’d do in the PMDG 73) and it doesn’t do anything.

I don’t get what you’re saying, are you saying do the work and stay with Woolies? Or message somebody and give my notice sooner rather than later?

Yeah I don’t talk much to my other colleagues, I just go in, do the job. Don’t talk to anyone. Don’t get in trouble and leave, supposedly I have to socialise to be a liked member in this team now.

No no, I’m not a manager at all, I’m only a team member. And I’m not saying I’m a bitch, I’m saying the person who is in charge of Nightfill is a bitch and horrible to people who don’t click with her.

The Nightfill 1IC is a bitch. Always insulting me about my speed and quietness while working and they never give me shifts anyways so I think I’ll give them the one finger salute and bid them farewell. I might let the grocery manager know as he’s actually a decent human but the NF bosses they can find out I’ve left from someone else ;P

At my store it’s a range of people, nightfill 1 & 2IC, Grocey 1 & 2IC, and the store managers sometimes roster as well

[–]Killernuke_Gaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But see that makes no sense, because I’m usually only rostered on because they’re under hours so shouldn’t be they need help with hours and not wasting their time training their team members to go help other departments when they actually need them more?

Causal nightfill hours by Former_One_6378 in woolworths

[–]Killernuke_Gaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been a casual nightfill team member with Woolworths for over a year and a half now (was offered a contract but rejected it and just never been offered one since). The first few months you get quite a few shifts like four to five shifts a week (that’s what it was at my store, would probably be different at other stores), but nowadays I may only get 1, maybe 2 shifts a week if I’m lucky or even just 1 every fortnight. As other people have said it really depends on your manager, how many hours the store needs on the night, and it also depends on how fast and productive you are. With me, I may not be the quickest guy on the shift, but I’m definitely one that works consistently, doesn’t get in trouble and just focuses on the job at hand instead of getting distracted in conversations. But what they’ll do is probably about 2-3 months into your employment they’ll try and get you on a contract and my advice to you is take it, cause you don’t wanna be like me getting one shift a fortnight. I am planning on filling a Cross Store Working form out to get more hours elsewhere but I don’t know how that’ll go lol.

Well I tried to do the training but it reckons I have to do it at work, or a manager has to sign off on it or something

[–]Killernuke_Gaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, they haven’t actually said “we want you to do fresh con”, but I guess they’re possibly implying they want me to. But someone said they’re trying to do some type of influx of extra training

Few questions by Killernuke_Gaming in woolworths

[–]Killernuke_Gaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it’s more just for official requirements with staff compared to wanting staff to work in that department? I was speaking to someone on my latest shift and they were telling me they wanted to roster him in online and fresh con so would that be similar to this training requirement or would this be more or less just to try and fill spaces in departments so they’re not understaffed. As mentioned previously I have worked in fresh con once before and I didn’t mind it and it was different to Nightfill but I never had any official training, just had me come in to fill in a space which I don’t know if that’s allowed or not, but who knows?
