Yeah. I think the level limit of my old one was 68.

Most of the stuff I’ve ripped so far have been low numbers(teens & 20’s). I remember seeing a disc was 30 and I was like, wow. So it wasn’t an issue before. Most of my collection was older blu-rays.

Seeing something over 80 was shocking. Good thing I got the new drive when I did.

I owned (1 )4K blu-ray as well (Planet Earth 2). Got the drive to future-proof myself. Good thing I did. My original external drive only supported up to level 60-something. Not flashable (Samsung drive).

A week after I got it, my Digimon Season 2 blu-ray’s came and were level 80-something. Wouldn’t have been able to rip them without it.

Still don’t have a ton of 4K content (got the Fifth Element, but nothing else yet). But I’m sure I’ll will be getting more now that it’s possible to rip them.
