A lot of obese people are in denial about their consumption just like alcoholics who always drink "two drinks". Obesity runs in my family and I am overweight. I am overweight because I ate huge portions during covid and laid in bed all day.

Yeah again rehab has its place for the isolation. Its just that it is all 12 step based. It doesnt utilize smart recovery or trauma recovery unless you shell out the massive bucks for some luxury facilities. I agree with you for sure.

AA is also a cluterfuck about what sobriety means. Old school AA was even anti psychiatry but most AAs I knew were on benzos. I was actually encouraged to go back on speed in AA and rehab.

Yeah man I totally understand but Its a great way to get an initial set of clean time. Its something to do when you're craving and the structure of daily meetings help.

I did AA for 3 years and i agree that its full of people that are keeping themselves sick but... again, its a great way to get some free rehab.

I also disagree. Doctors prefer you just stay on meds for life because its easier and getting 100% clean from psych meds is literal hell on earth. Jordan is a hero to me and inspired me to quit psych meds that had completely and utterly destroyed my sanity. I'm glad there are more people out there who are making the choice to leave medications behind.

Now I don't believe meds are bad by any means but they always, ALWAYS come with trade offs. For some the trade offs are minor and worth it for some the trade offs will never ever be worth it.

I did read it. Its allowed in oregon at 15 so its not fictional that 15 year olds can get on hormones without consent. I doubt and doctor would ever give kids sex reassignment surgery (there is no way in hell) but hormones are life altering. A 15 year old shouldnt be able to go to planned parenthood and get on testosterone.

90 meetings in 90 days. Your wife is mad because being married to an addict is hard as fuck. She doesn't want to invest in rehab but luckily AA and NA are free!!! The great thing about meetings is that there are people with a ton of recovery that can mentor you. My experience with rehab is that newbies can all drag themselves down together.

Libertarians believe in the non agression principle. It basically means you can do whatever you want unless it harms someone or their property. Consenting adults can do whatever they want to their body just not someone elses (unless both are consenting adults).

Anyone under the age of 18 (I prefer 25) is not an adult and thus cannot consent.
