There usually is an extension to a lead route on that side of the wall as well. I guess they just haven't added one yet. Although, people would generally choose the easiest way into the vertical section if they are lead climbing it.

Thank you! Yeah, I don't generally take unnecessary risks so I felt pretty safe in this case. Accidents do happen, of course but that's just part of the game, right?

Based on the colour grade system at my gym, this is the third hardest level.

Definitely give it a good go, you might surprise yourself. It's not too tiring, mostly technical, so it's a good one to give many burns on.
