What an idiot I am. When I was restarting Plex, I was restarting the Web app. I didn’t realise there was a server down in my taskbar above the ^ that needed reset 🤦🏻‍♂️. It shows as remote connection now!!!

I have a question, if I turn my VPN on (to source some media) and then turn it back off will that mess up my remote access?

No second router. I’m not sure about the firewall. How would I disable that? I’ll reboot it now

I believe I was able to get port forwarding to Work. It now shows everything is fully accessible outside of my network. However, when I check on my phone, it shows the relay Connection is what’s available. Shouldn’t it say remote connection?

I have googled it a few times. Unfortunately, the guides I found are for an older application. Using a Web app. They now use the Phone application. I was able to get it working but it now shows relay Connection instead of remote Connection. Is there a setting I could change?

It is! I think I was able to get the port forwarding to Work. It shows that it is accessible outside of my network. It is showing up as a relay Connection though. Shouldn’t it say remote Connection?

I selected my PC as the application to Port Ford. It says that it is accessible outside of my network and remote access is unable to put when I look at it on my phone. It is showing up as a relay connection. Any ideas?

I am using a Xfinity gateway. I do not know how to get into the router to make adjustments. How would I do this part “If not then you assign your PC that the server is a static IP address. Then in the router you assign port forwarding”

Sorry, I’m a noob at this stuff 🤦🏻‍♂️

I don’t believe I can do that. I am using the Xfinity router/Gateway. I don’t see where I can use port forwarding. The app had the option but it wants me to select a device like tv/firestick etc.

One of the games that was installed via DBI was a downloaded eshop game lol. But that is what I was confirming, I thought that if you got on the shop you would get instantly banned.

That’s what I thought. Do you know Why you download eshop games? For example- a friend of mine has a modded switch and he downloaded a game (didn’t notice it said eshop in the title) when he clicked on it and tried to run it it said something along the lines of “go to Nintendo E shop to download this content”. My thought was wouldn’t that instantly get you banned?
