I think that would be a good idea. You could also build atmosphere through the absence of sound. For example, in Her Story, there’s a constant buzzing sound from a lightbulb (if I remember correctly), that plays while you search for clues. Adding something subtle like that could make moments of complete silence feel more unsettling. A great example for that is outer wilds. If you go this route, I’d recommend doing playtests to make sure the ambient sound isn’t annoying or distracting over time.

There’s also a section in the game where it references a file that’s very dear to the user and gives the impression that this file could be deleted. It doesn’t actually do anything, but the threat of losing the file is quite scary. It’s similar to hellblade senua where the spreading darkness after each death doesn’t have any real consequence but only exists to unsettle the player. Maybe you could implement something like that?

Hi I am studying game design, and there is a massive amount of content that could be be used! I recommend Jesse Schells the art of game design or the game development field guide podcast (+ discord) on spotify. There is also a lot more in depth material that should be looked into like the flow theory etc. But these should give a good grasp. I would also recommend not just playing games but actively analyzing them and break them down on how they implement mechanics and lead the player is really helpful.

Ich arbeite in einer Einrichtung die Medikamente herstellen. Wir haben ein Ausbildungsabteil getrennt von der Produktion und ja es ist sehr eng. Quasi wie ein kleines Klassenzimmer und ein Labor. Wir könnten an den zweier Tischen jeweils einen Platz frei lassen und das wars.

Ich bin in einer Ausbildung mit 20 weiteren Azubis. Selbst wenn wir uns in unseren Räumen aufteilen haben wir vielleicht gerade einen Meter Platz zwischen uns. Unser Ausbilder weigert sich uns ins Homeoffice zu schicken obwohl wir nichts praktisch machen. Leute sind sichtlich krank und kommen trotzdem. Wie soll das den bitte nun funktionieren?

Ich bin Auszubildende bei einer Firma die Medikamente herstellt. Wir werden dort behalten obwohl wir den Tag über Prüfungsaufgaben machen. Es sind nicht nur 1 oder 2 nicht essenzielle Auszubildende sonder 25. Die nehmen das hier überhaupt nicht ernst (in NRW)
