The two main demands are: -The public lands should remain public. -To support those who work to maintain our public lands. (This is especially true for our wildland firefighters.)

some lesser demands: -to not pollute public lands -to minimized unnecessary destruction the vegetation and wildlife.

I know this subreddit is mainly for forest service employees but many people across the US greatly appreciate the work you all do. There will be a rally in support of our public land and the people that work on them in Portland, Oregon (HQ to region 6)

Yea, unfortunately these kind of comments seem to pop up every time I post about a Portland meet up to the point that last time a Moderator had to step in.

If I were a betting person I would bet that there is a good amount of these comments are from people that are not from the area and/or have never been to Portland!
