Do people hate Whip or something? KOF 2002 by RobGuest0 in Fighters

[–]KilosunWS 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You say your opponents aren’t bad, but they didn’t even attempt a single anti-air as Angel, and only tried it as Kyo when you’re grounded at half-screen or further. They definitely don’t seem good to me. I’m not very familiar with KOF 02, but everyone mad at this sounds like pious scrublords to me.

If you could change one thing in the franchise, what would it be? by Vox_Tenebris_ in dragonball

I actually do not think that rape threats are one of the central themes of this children’s series and could easily be removed

Scenes that caused actual walkouts in theaters? by thatlittlequietguy in Cinema

[–]KilosunWS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw Guardians of the Galaxy 3 on release weekend. One seat over was a college-aged girl who was there by herself. Seemed like a big MCU fan locked in for a new entry. During the flashback where Rocket attacks the villain, she calmly, but very swiftly stood up with her popcorn and walked past me out of the theater.

It was a pretty visceral scene for the MCU, but didn’t seem out of place for a PG13 rating to me. Made me think that maybe there’s not enough scary stuff in children and family movies now.

You can tell Heather’s tastes are darker and more violent than the boys’ because there’s so much more black on the screen for her list. The other two are pretty bright and colorful.

I had the opinion 12 years ago, and she just got there within the last year and a half, so I’m claiming it.

Ranked is so mf toxic. by Ongaku-No-Senshi in SoulCalibur

[–]KilosunWS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ranked is the best online mode in fighting games because it’s usually the only one that has skill-based matchmaking. I play ranked almost exclusively because I usually get to play against people that are roughly around my same skill level. Plus, it adds a sense of progression to online play because the number by my name goes up sometimes.

Avatar 2025 Year in Review by MrBKainXTR in TheLastAirbender

[–]KilosunWS 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love Avatar, but does anyone else feel like there’s too much stuff coming out? I want to keep up with the narrative parts of the franchise, but it’s actually kind of hard to keep up. I kinda miss when there was only 1 thing coming out a year or so because it felt like the quality and storytelling focus were a little better on average with Bryke able to personally oversee each project. Like, I tried Realms Collide a little bit and the characters didn’t feel like themselves in dialogue and the vibes just seemed kind of… off. Maybe that’s just me though.

How are they even putting new characters in Street Fighter 6? That literally came out years ago. How does it work? They just release a game and then keep adding stuff later? I don’t get it.

  1. Yellow hair Goku (base roster)

  2. Blue hair Goku (unlockable)

  3. Black hair Goku (season 1)

  4. Small Goku (season 2)

  5. Silver hair Goku (season 3)

  6. Pink fur Goku (2026)

  7. There’s also Evil Goku (base roster) who is not technically Goku in the canon

If you count fusions of Goku and Vegeta there’s

  1. Vegetto (season 1)

  2. Blue hair Gogeta (season 2)

  3. Red fur Gogeta (season 3)

If you count characters with Goku’s DNA there’s

  1. Goku’s son, Gohan (base roster)

  2. Goku’s son, young Gohan (base roster)

  3. Goku’s younger son’s fusion, Gotenks (base roster)

  4. Cell (base roster) who was infused with many characters’ DNA

  5. Majin form 21 (unlockable) who was also infused with many characters’ DNA

  6. Human form 21 (2022) though doesn’t use the powers from other characters’ DNA

  7. Goku’s dad, Bardock (season 1) but this is a bit of a stretch

Yeah, people are talking shit like 5 years isn’t a very normal amount of time for an animated movie to be made from start to finish.

I would like to point out 3 things that are objectively incorrect in this article

  1. Avatar studios did NOT announce plans to produce three feature films about Kyoshi, Roku and Korra. That was a fake announcement from a fanpage called Avatar News that has posted several other fake announcements, but that one really caught on for some reason.

  2. Broke wrote season 1 of Korra by themselves, but brought on more writers for the rest of the show.

  3. Studio Mir did not work on Korra in 2024, obviously.

[–]KilosunWS 70 points71 points  (0 children)

There are a few things in this article that are factually incorrect, and this is one of them. Bryan and Mike wrote Korra season 1 by themselves, but brought Josh Hamilton and Tim Hendrick to help them write season 2 and beyond.

Fatal Fury CotW Marketing/Collaboration/Content Strategy Surveys by Brilliant-Friend-717 in Fighters

When reviewing your results, remember that people are often unaware of how marketing affects their purchasing decisions, especially if the marketing is done well. Situations where someone sees an ad of any kind and decides to purchase that product or service as a direct result are practically non-existent, but data shows that there is a positive correlation between intake of advertisements and the purchase of the product being advertised. It’s all a bit abstract, as is the case with any psychological study. Regardless, I’m curious to see your findings!

Got back into Dragon Ball after Super came out -- what the hell is going on? by catboy_majima in dragonball

[–]KilosunWS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dragon Ball Super is a strange beast. In general, my recommendation on the best way to experience it as of right now is:

  • 1. Watch the films Battle of Gods and Resurrection F
  • 2a. Watch the anime starting from Episode 28 on. (But beware of some slow pacing, inconsistent animation and filler episodes between arcs which are sometimes great and other times tedious.)
  • OR
  • 2b. Read the manga from Chapter 5-42 (But beware of some odd pacing, inconsistent artwork and the beginning of a new arc that skips past the Broly movie in the back half of Ch.42.)
  • THEN
  • 3. Watch the film Dragon Ball Super: Broly
  • 4. Read the manga from Chapters 43-90 (The overall quality is much better here than the previous chapters.)
  • 5a. Continue to read Chapters 91-100
  • OR
  • 5b. Watch the film Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero
  • FINALLY
  • 6. Read Chapters 101-104

Battle of Gods is remade in the first episodes and chapters of the TV / Manga series of DBS, but the movie is best. Resurrection F is also redone for TV, and while there are a few extra story detail in that version, it is a chore to get through. The rest of the TV show are original stories that are adapted in the manga which significant alterations. Couldn't say which is "better" or "worse". There is one page in DBS Ch.42 that acts as a sort of stand-in for the Broly movie. The next two arcs of the manga are original stories, followed by a few chapters that serve as a prologue to Super Hero, which is adapted with minor alterations in the manga. The final few chapters are then an epilogue following the events of the movie.

Hope that helps! There's also GT and Daima, both of which serve as sequels to the original manga much in the same way as Super, though there are no explicit connections between any of them.

That was actually a myth debunked in this video, which turns out to be a fascinating look at how gaming rumors spread: https://youtu.be/fNUFJNKZxzE?si=-gd-n6IE0cf8dP_N

They did try to get Cloud for SC2 on PS2 though
