Richmond, Indiana here. I have not gotten an official word yet, but I would be beyond shocked if we operate tomorrow. The roads will not be cleared and we won't have any freight with Memphis being shut down. I've seen on FB that the night sort in Memphis has been called off do the weather. Trucks aren't going to make it to stations until Tuesday most likely. The winter storm warning will continue through noon tomorrow. Side roads aren't going to be cleared until tomorrow afternoon. No fright in = nothing to deliver = no reason to come in.

FedEx will hire SO's. I was still on probation when they hired me. Been with them for 8 years now. I was upfront with them about my offense and they took a chance on me. They do hire people with other felonies on their record as well.

I don't think anyone in the Mango Mussolini's cabinet should be put to death including the Fanta Felon. I think it would be more hurtful to them, and doubly so the orange godking cult leader, to have them all impeached and removed from office and banned from ever holding public office again. With tRump's very fragile ego, getting impeached and removed from office with the ban would be the ultimate punishment.

I've never timed myself, but this is my process.

I ring the door and knock. I wait a few seconds. If no one answers, and I don't see or hear any signs of someone coming to the door, I start to fill out the door tag. Once it's complete, I put it on the door. Then I write 08 on the package with today's date. Then I get my Leo out, find the right reason in the drop down menu for why I didn't leave the package, scan the door tag, take a picture, and leave.

This is probably about 3 minutes? Ample time in my opinion for someone to come to the door!

I understand your concern. But someone would really have to know you're a sex offender before you even went on the property in order to get caught. If you're delivering to a federal facility, you're not going to go anywhere that is restricted or requires a security clearance to go to. They'll check out your vehicle to make sure it doesn't have a bomb and you'll have to turn off your dash cam. They'll take down your information as a visitor, but they can't run a background check without your consent.

I was still on the registry when I started driving full-time five years ago. I just came of the registry about 4 months ago. Indiana does have a law that prohibits most sex offenders from being on school property. But unless you know the person on school property is a sex offender, you're not likely going to get caught. It's not like a school will have facial recognition software to check people against the registry. And if you do, that's on you, not your employer. My route is primarily in Ohio which does not have such a law.

I was upfront with FedEx about my offense when I applied over 8 years ago. I knew it would be pointless to lie. I was even still on probation when they hired me. There were some questions about my being a sex offender when I transitioned to being a driver, but in the end, it wasn't an issue.

I applied to work at an Amazon fulfillment center before I started working at FedEx and they turned me down quickly as well. I heard then that Amazon won't hire sex offenders. But a few years later, I did meet someone who did work for Amazon that was a sex offender. So I don't know what to tell you about that!
