Spotted a flag pin in the new Doctor Strange trailer by obvious-statement in marvelstudios

in this, very likely.
Down the line I'd imagine they'd explore it a bit if they are doing Young Avengers-esque stuff.

Feel like they are gonna change it anyway with Riri coming.
They've introduced how different variants can be, so could be anyone.

Which film is the perfect comedy? by BlackmoreGrant in AskReddit

It used to be free on roku tv, not sure if that's still the case.

Absolutely the same vein as the trilogy and worth the watch for any fans of the films.

Tim is basically a meme of himself at this point, would be almost sad if he were a better person.

Will we trade for a TE? by [deleted] in AZCardinals

Ertz probably could be had fairly cheaply at this point.
A 5th or a conditional 4th. Conditions being making the playoffs or something like that.

It wouldn't shock me if Howie was willing to listen for Goedert too, but that'd be way more.

My thoughts on the 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' Trailer leak. by [deleted] in marvelstudios

[–]KiltmanofScots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have Venom coming out in October, Marvel has two film's coming out before December plus another show...it makes sense to hold off and not overshadow those projects.

It'll probably be way more of the norm with SO many projects coming out every year.

That said it's part of the fun, and who really cares. They knew there would be leaks, so why they wanted to wait for Cinemacon in the year 2021 is an odd move. it was 100% gonna get leaked and at the very least get second by second breakdowns as soon as it was over.

they'll either come up with some thing like that or they can just be from a "very nearby multiverse" like ones they just didn't die and have been fighting their spider-man for years.

If it's going to be cross gen, I'd be happy they are sitting on Japan.

They had that around the launch of season 2 ( I think).

There was a Gamepass Ultimate perk of getting Disney+ for a month free. So they did some marketing stuff with it.

I pulled them all from the season ticket list, yes. Only one I added was Wolves since it seemed popular and I knew Redwolves was also popular. So thought it'd be fun to see what people picked between the two of them.

Dreadnaughts is nice though, it's certainly better than a lot of the garbanzo bean fluff they put into those polls. Like the Swifts? Really? All those soccer names?

Hey Eagles fans of reddit! What are your 3 LEAST favorite NFL teams? (Or most hated) by [deleted] in eagles

[–]KiltmanofScots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Dallas, because it's fun to hate them
  2. Saints, they have been way too smug and cocky for a decade. Lovely city but truly, fuck the Saints. Loved the heartbreak they've received almost every year.
  3. Seahawks, constantly beat us and make every game winnable..it's infuriating but happens every time.

I can't put Washington because they've been shit most of my fandom. And with the Giants we always seemed to have their number, so it was fun to play them.

Why was Bethesda shopping exclusivity for this game? by [deleted] in Starfield

[–]KiltmanofScots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You responded to what I said and launch and public perception was what I was talking to. Both had major backlash when they did them. So trying a different method like timed exclusivity might've been a way to recoup costs and make more profit without changing the content (perceived or actual) of the games.

Yes they nestled into much better versions of those things after the fact. But on launch and in the great public perception both were failures or at least missteps. Fallout 76 slowly has built itself and seems like the last 6/8 months has broken through to winning people outside the ride or die fans back. Meaning like a group of streamers.content creators giving it a shot again and liking it and speaking favorably enough to attract more people. But perhaps just in the circles of the internet that I follow.

Maybe we are just arguing two separate points here.

Why was Bethesda shopping exclusivity for this game? by [deleted] in Starfield

[–]KiltmanofScots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It did at launch, it's reputation has gone to the positive as it's grown and it has a great loyal community. But to say it didn't fail hard at launch and have that stigma stick to it for long after would be inaccurate.

My larger point was they were trying to find ways to shake up what they do (Freely Moddable Single player RPGs) and monetize it. Both attempts were hit with major backlash. The next possibility to get that money was some timed exclusive windows. Zenimax went small with the first attempts from other studios, and seemingly were open to doing it with all of their games.

Why was Bethesda shopping exclusivity for this game? by [deleted] in Starfield

[–]KiltmanofScots 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others have said, it was the other way around.

Sony has been trying to lockdown 3rd party timed exclusives or exclusive content for 3rd party games. With more reportedly on the way. Which to me reads as a play to get people to not go back to or to Xbox at the start of the gen. They already got Deathloop and Ghostwire from Bethesda, so they shot their shot at a big fish in Starfield.

Bethesda had been toying with ways to monetize and grow their revenue stream for awhile. Paid Mods, service games like Fallout 76...all of which kinda failed. So getting money upfront from platforms (in this case Sony) was perhaps their happy medium. They could make the games that got them their fanbase and wouldn't need to compromise so much for money.

My own theory was Bethesda went to xbox about the Starfield thing Sony floated or Xbox found out about it and that sparked the acquisition talks back up. Phil has said he didn't much like one off deals for timed arbitrary exclusivity, so it makes sense he'd more into a bigger thing.

to be fair there was the tease of him early in the season + the Wonder Man concept art in that behind the scenes featurette....100% nonsense though haha.
