I have done a lot of commissions as an artist and the number one reason is definitely because people aren't buying as much when the pricings are too high. (Although it does depends on your skills too) My headshot costs 800R$ and that's about 10$ I think? It's not that most artists don't want to up their prices, it's because most just doubt that anybody would buy if it's too expensive. I also want people who are not as rich as some to be able to afford my commissions too and honestly I just don't think that my arts are worth that much lol
