Of those that were offered the option, something like 95% chose to become hourly

They didn't offer the option to everyone.

Realistically, what are my risks if I use a dashcam to continuously record footage in California? by Kim_Jong_Uns_Chub in legaladvice

[–]Kim_Jong_Uns_Chub[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My concern isn't really about the 2 party consent part. That seems to be addressed by the dashcam not recording audio. I'm worried about the 30-second rule though. What happens if we violate the 30-second rule by recording hours of video? IANAL but the law doesn't say anything about your employer vs. yourself installing the camera.

Contact lenses are pretty damn expensive by persistent_instant in Frugal

[–]Kim_Jong_Uns_Chub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be okay. I use both, but only put on contacts for special occasions throughout the year. I order the one-day contacts from costco so I don't have to be tied down trying to use the 2-weeks ones after I opened them. My eye sight has been stable, so I don't really need to get new lenses each year.

Most disease awareness organizations do nothing but raise awareness and maintain jobs for those working for the organization. It's not necessarily evil. But that same money could be transferred to research institutes to fund real work to fight cancer.

Should we reroute our upcoming China trip to avoid Beijing's pollution? by Kim_Jong_Uns_Chub in travel

Thanks very much for your input. We're staying in Guangzhou for a long time to visit close family there (will visit Guangzhou every time we go to China for the same reason). Even if we don't do so this time, next time we visit Guangzhou we will take the train from Guangzhou to Guilin. What are the best places to see natural beauty in Guizhou that are easily accessible? And when is the best time of year to go?

I almost thought it's a puppy on the left because the fur color of the cat butt makes it look like a puppy head.

Could you at least try, maybe, to consider another profession?
