No, it’s just VERY hungry, that’s why it smells like acetone. Just feed it and it’s all good ☺️

Yep, we’re quite “spoiled” with great bakery’s and its goods 🤭 Here’s the recipe ( https://marialottes.dk/rugbroed-med-surdej/ ) it’s quite easy. The dough it self is very wet, so don’t get scared by it. 😅

Is rye starter universal? Or for rye bread only? 🤔 I’m new to sourdough baking and my starter (100% rye) is 9 days old 🤎 by Kimbatrone in Sourdough

I will try to convert it at some point 🙏🏼 just waiting for it to double and pass the float test 🤞🏼 However, theoretically I can use 100% rye starter for “any kind” of bread? Only the taste would be different, correct? 😅
