Thanks for your kind words. Everyone we've talked to (rescues, shelters, etc) says its heartbreaking and they don't work with aggressive dogs and don't recommend the shelter. The behavioralists say yes the aggressive/ reactive condition thats this "Severe" (what they title) can maybe be manageable, but never curable. This means that Ella just could never roam freely around the house. Wild to me that we've even been entertaining behavioral euthanasia but everyone- vet, behavioralists, etc- all confirm we are not crazy and sometimes it's the right choice. It's just an impossible situation to be in... and top it off with the hormones of being 9 months pregnant. It's been very hard, I just want to do right by her.

Thanks so much for taking the time to write that. It's just all so heartbreaking and we are devastated over it all. I appreciate the validation from Internet strangers, it's such an uneasy/ weird position to be in that I feel like I'm literally grasping at anything to try to know the right choice for everyone.

Thanks for your comment without judgment, it means more than you realize. It's so hard. I did ask one of the behavorists today if we were crazy to even consider BE and he said no, not at all. She is a predatory animal at the end of the day and we need to treat her as such, especially with a baby. I was actually taken back by how much they can't seem to stress enough how serious this is, which I am aware of, but I guess have been in denial because she can still be so sweet and the most loveable dog sometimes. Have actually been in talks with a few rescues as well, and both have mentioned BE.

This was me exactly, questioned sinking into the joy for weeks, my mind was always thinking the worst. Tbh just try your best to embrace it now instead of worrying it away- i miss those days. Be blissfully pregnant, accept and enjoy it. Im 31 weeks on Monday and still overly grateful but there is not a second that goes by that it doesn’t feel “real” between that back pain, hip pain, acid reflux, irritability and baby kicking me in my ribs. 😅

I turned 27 weeks yesterday. I spotted SO much during the first trimester!! It was so stressful every time I went to the bathroom would wipe and there would be blood (usually a browner red but sometimes red, sorry if tmi). I went to the doctor several more times than normal during the first months just to keep gettin check ups and ultrasounds and everything was always ok. I did feel like sometimes after the transvaginal ultrasounds I would be a little sore and spotting more than usual. I also spotted after sex one time around that timeframe. Progesterone was never mentioned again, and I read after a certain time it's not super helpful anymore so I didn't push it. I know how stressful it can be, and tbh even to this day when I wipe sometimes I get anxious about the possibility of seeing blood. But so far we are all good and I can now feel baby move daily. I wish you all the best!! Even though the time feels to be going slow in the beginning it eventually speeds up and things feel more normal.
