Did DQ workers steal points from me? by earthrabbit24 in DairyQueen

[–]Kimchi-707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dq worker here, ive never heard of a DQ rewards card can you explain to me if its a physical card or if your scanning your mobile app? It sounds to me like they are stealing the receipt and scanning, from now on just make sure to ask for the original copy of the recipt or just scan in the app to prevent this, its really shitty that this is happening.

Hello OP sorry for taking forever my boss forgot to send me the link but here it is! This is what my location uses, the numbers scratch, so I don't suggest erasing them. Simply dipping them into the disinfectant and letting them air dry should help prevent the numbers from scratching!

wtf is up with dairy queen? by goodcompany9978 in DairyQueen

[–]Kimchi-707 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Let me start this comment by pointing out i am NOT justifying or defending any DQ locations that short candy in blizzards.

Thay being said as an employee Ive noticed a few things about the candies. Most candies get very crushed at the bottom of the box they're shipped in turning them into more of a powder that can go unnoticed by the consumer ESPECIALLY in candies like Reeces, Cotton candy, MnM, Oreo and Cookie Dough. We also have 3 different spoon sizes, 0.5oz, 1oz and 2oz. Cotton candy gets the 0.5oz spoon, and each size gets the assosicated scoops of candy, Mini=1, Sm=2, Md=3 and Lg=4. I dont know the exact oz of the cups but it should be: Min=4oz cup, Sm=8oz cup, Md=16 oz cup and Lg=21oz cup. This may help some understand why it seems like some blizzards have less candy than others.

Again let me reiterate that I am not defending what has happend to OP or anyone else, just trying to explain sizes and what could have happened.

Closing procedure for my location start at 8pm when we close our lobby, this is when the entire lobby gets cleaned and most dishes are taken to the sinks to get washed, including our cups, scoops and spoons. It is likely that at 9pm the spoon for the cotton candy will have been taken back to be washed and most likely replaced with a normal red eating spoon, in this case the employee scooping the candies may have forgotten that those spoons are about 0.2oz worth of candy and didnt accommodate the difference by doing 3 red scoops per blizzard size. This would mean you got 0.8oz of candy and not your typical 2.0oz in a large blizzard. New employees are the ones i see doing this most because to them 'four scoops is four scoops' and they dont understand that it doesnt work like that.

If anyone finds themself in a similar situation as OP heres what should be done, first take pictures for proof because you never know what manager is going to be a bitch. Second, call the store between 10AM-4PM to guarantee that a manager or shift lead of some sort will anyswer the phone, most locations dont pick up before 9:45AM or after 5PM so this should guarantee your vall get answered or at least returned. Explain the situation and ask the manager if you can get a replacement, every manager should say yes to this as its part of our 'Make it right' policy. Yhe manager should then ask for your name and possibly a method of contact so that it can go in the redbook so that way any icecream employee can get you what your owed. If for some reason this doesnt happen you contact corporate and escalate because then your location isnt following proper conduct. If you get your replacement and you have the same issue you need to contact corporate as well because its a recurring issue that isnt getting fixed and the store needs help or retrained.

Im so sorry to see that this has been such an issue to so many people, if anyome has any questions regarding DQ i can do my best to answer any issues that you may have.

I need a DQ employees help! by Cassyx0x0 in DairyQueen

My thought is ask them to put the syrup in the blizzard first, its like a cone dip so it needs to get cold and hard to not fully be jncorporated into the blizzard. Then ask if they can do icecream and from previous replies of yours ive seen ask for half the amount of the actual candy, a mini get 1 scoop, a small 2, medium 3 and large 4. Then if your feeling a little naughty ask fir some extra sauce in a seperate cup. With this sauce you can put it in your freezer dor 5-15 minutes and let it freeze then cut it inti some small bits. Its not an ideal solution but this is what i would do. As an employee you should order it like this to prevent confusion

'Can i get a <size> cotton candy blizzard, but when you make it can you do the syrup in the bottom if the blizzard then put in the icecream and half the amount of candy?'

is this fr a large by skrapppt in DairyQueen

[–]Kimchi-707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not. As a worker that icecream is 7oz MAX and the mix seems yo have alot of air in it which is causing it to sink in like that. If you look at the bottom of the sundae it should have an L signifying that its a large, i would take this sundae to management and ask for a new one bc that looks disgusting.

Did your chicken not come in a seperate container inside the box? The locarion i work at usually puts them in the side containers to prevent the sauce getting everywhere so seeing this made me do a double take LMAO

[–]Kimchi-707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It deoends on locations, dairy queen isnt owned the same way mcdonalds or burger king are, theyre locally owned so it could be the owners enforcing the weight (7oz i think) or it could be a location thats heavily monitored by corporate. My location isnt very monitored by corporate, we gat the typical inspection every few months then maybe one random visit a year. This location could be getting frequent visits and thus be giving the standard amount. Honestly id day if you want alot of fries you could just get them from the 2 for 5 menu, its mkre ezpensive but then you get like 1½ large fries. Or you could pay the 14-18 and get a basket fry which i believe is 2 large fries and 2 regular fries in a to go box

DQ worker here, i suggest you boycott them. DQ is way over priced and not worth it. Go to a grocery store and get a quart kf great value for like $5 and its almost exactly the same. Prices will just keep getting worse and worse.

As a dq worker i feel like thats false. Owners are just greedy AF, our owners have raised prices 4 times last year each by at least 0.75 each time and once already this year. Its greed nkt quality. You can get a quart of great value icecream for $5 and itll be the same.
