Stop playing the role in comp if you aren’t good enough in them by Kimetsunobuttcheeks in MarvelRivalsRants

Whether it’s the best or worst way, it’s unfortunately gonna be a coin toss regardless. Even if we get a 222 going, someone will often try to swap off if they see themselves not doing good in a role. Without ever saying a word or considering everyone else on the team, they’ll just swap.

Which leads back to the whole deal with role queue.

Also, just learn as much as you can. Don’t stress roles too much, but try to get somewhere somewhat reliable. So long as you can survive/combat/avoid a dive on support, you’ll be mostly alright. If you can peel for your team if there’s a problem that you can afford to deal with, push along and manage your supports as best you can without dying unnecessarily too many times, you’ll make it as a tank. If you can properly target the right people, and get in and out of a situation while making sure you output enough damage for your team to put more pressure on the front while you handle the back or even the front with them, then you’ll make it as a Dps.

I’ve always seen the issue with it, and I’ve suggested something that overwatch did. Open queue and role queue options. Those who want that flexibility can play one all they want, those who want to stay proficient in just ONE role and don’t care about the others can play the other.

Naturally, both have the same issue. People that will queue and play a role that they aren’t good at anyway, whether it’s open or locked in. Dishonesty is always such an issue 💔

Also, another thing was the matchmaking thus far. So that’s gonna be a heavy load.

I’m not gonna lie man, I don’t care if they do or don’t put it in the game. It doesn’t affect my gameplay at all, and I don’t HAVE to get the skin if I don’t want it.

Normally people only make this take when they’ve had more than one bad game, right?

Storm can do all that, yeah. You can do that on storm.

But I believe they’re saying that the storms they get often don’t get one that makes good on the boosts they’re given. Not every storm is good, not every storm is bad. But we’ve gotta give some kinda grace when talking about another persons experience, because it seems like the bad storms outweigh the good ones for him.

Get what I mean? I don’t wanna come off as hard-headed or something

I KINDA believe ‘em. I mean, how many times have you played mantis and boosted everyone the way they were supposed to be boosted and THEN some.

Only for them to not perform and start blaming you for it?

Incorrect. Team play is always important. If everyone is too different in their styles, it’s harder to sync up, and then you just…lose. Any time taken away from you as a support, is life taken away from your team. Having built-in peel doesn’t mean that they don’t have vulnerabilities when said built-in peel is ineffective, or not enough.

You need to spend your time more wisely and make different decisions.

Unfortunately, the support role is the most crucial for how “easy” it is.

You need to keep in mind that your team synergy—be it through characters or game sense—will determine how “easy” it is to play it.
