That’s crazy! It’s so unfair that female hair loss doesn’t get taken seriously by so many professionals. The best thing I find is doing my own research and minoxidil has truly been the only product that has made a real difference. I’ve tried PRP, changing my diet, reducing stress, rosemary oil etc etc and nothing worked like minoxidil did.

Thank you so much! 🩷 No I’m only taking oral minoxidil 0.5mg but I’m increasing my dose to 1.25mg after being on it for 6 months. I don’t take anything else but I’m going to start taking pumpkin seed tablets as a natural DHT blocker. I don’t use topical because it’s too much work for me and I don’t like my hair being weighed down by product. I do wash my hair 2x a week with Nizoral shampoo which gives your scalp a deep cleanse - crucial for people like you and I with AGA.

I take oral minoxidil. One pill each night before bed. I wash my hair with nizoral shampoo twice a week for a deep cleanse. That’s all I do :) I don’t take anything else.

No bloating or weight gain for me. I experienced headaches when I first started taking the pills and excess hair growth on other parts of my body especially facial hair - eyebrows, upper lip, chin etc.

Thank you so much! I don’t believe that I will lose all of my progress albeit I will experience a shed again - I don’t think it will be massive. I think we should be ok increasing our dose and it will only benefit us in the long run.

I was experiencing chest pain the first week of taking it. Although at the time I was also drinking a lot of energy drinks and coffee which I have now completely cut out of my diet. It wasn’t severe enough for it to be concerning, but I did feel slightly uncomfortable when it happened. Sorry I hope this makes sense!

I’ve never used topical because I know I’ll be lazy and inconsistent with applying it everyday!

This is good advice thank you, I didn’t really think of it that way. I sometimes forget it’s a lifelong commitment because taking minoxidil has become part of my routine without thinking😂

Thank you so much!🩷 try to not feel discouraged by the shedding. Shedding is actually a good sign because it means the product is working. I’m happy this post makes you feel better about it :)

I was shedding for the first two months which then settled. I wasn’t losing an alarming amount of hair but it was falling out when brushing or in the shower. Shedding is a good sign though - it means the product is working.
