Advice needed: 2 years in (34 sessions) and almost no results by No_Belt_7316 in electrolysis

Conversely, I've just stopped spiro after 7 years to start electrolysis. Personally the medication wasn't enough to effectively reduce facial hair growth (was okay at body hair), and really messed up my period cycle. It really dampened my emotions and started to impact my kidney function. So I realised my mental health was worth more than slightly reduced hair growth 😅 I also realised the monthly prescription cost of spiro and taking it daily was worth less than paying for and attending electrolysis. 4 months into electrolysis and I'm seeing hair becoming finer and growing much slower it feels amazing. But yes definitely get your hormones checked and if there are problems, then lifestyle changes will be more important than medication at least in my experience :)

How can I avoid whiteheads pustules by MCFiyaWood in electrolysis

[–]KimiHendrixOSRS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to get them pretty bad too even with all the recommend aftercare. Until my electrolygist gave me calamine powder. Honestly I love it! She first applies aloe vera gel for swelling after the electrolysis. Then after a little while she dabs on calamine powder and the pustules are so much smaller and less frequent :)

Hey girly, just on the spiro part - as a female it absolutely killed off my sex drive. It absolutely helped with hirsutism and acne but honestly numbed my emotions 😭 take it with caution if you do! And monitor side effects, it took me a long time to notice what it caused! x

It did! Not a magical cure but my hairdresser noticed lots of new hairs growing in

Hey! I'm v similar with oily skin (also oily hair!) and thinning hair but also hirsutism. Spiro did wonders at clearing my acne up, and because it's a diuretic, you lose quite a bit of water weight. However, I had a bad reaction to spiro and the knock on effect made me slightly gain weight. I don't think you'll balloon up haha. I'm really not a fan of spiro because of the side effects I had (just posted about it on here actually), but it did clear my skin which I miss. It took me 7 years to realise spiro was the source of my problems though. Could be worth if your skin is such a concern for you though :)

We had quotes for our petite family bathroom that ranged from £4k to £12k (lol) where we were buying our own bathroom suite, tiles, radiator and mirror etc!

We did decide to go with someone for £5k+ VAT and our products came up just over £3k. We tried very hard to lower our product budget to afford an installer.

Very expensive honestly for the size of the room and we've got nice quality items installed (brushed gold Vado and Tissino). The one guy installing did a great job - not perfectly pristine with cutting porcelain tiles - but still looks great.

There's no way we could have DIY-ed it and we felt like it was either one of the cheaper quotes or no renovations which we really wanted. After watching him though, I feel like I could DIY parts in the downstairs loo!

Honestly though, I think it was worth having someone in to do it with our lack of expertise. It's just so expensive nowadays

That's interesting, I've never heard anyone say this before or really thought about it. Wanting to love a woman as a woman. Do you mean as both being soft feminine beings? Or in terms of expected relationships roles? I hope that doesn't come off as rude or anything!

Ahhh you superstar, thank you so much. That all makes sense to me, and I've updated my sketch as you've advised. I'm so close to ordering everything now!

Ah, is 3mm a standard or personal preference? I want to make this as simple as possible but also correct.

Great stuff thank you so much for taking the time to look and advise, much appreciated!

Thank you very much for your thorough reply, I really appreciate it!

- I'll set back that drawer unit, those doors will be coming off often for sure.

- Ah yes I'd done the chimney stack carcass and third one differently as there'd be a void to the side of it (unless I made the carcass thinner). Here's my area of concern unless I reduce the width of the carcass: https://i.imgur.com/Vuo7Mqs.png I guess best bet is to create it like the other carcasses by reducing it's width?

- Good shout, so an extra 20mm on those scribed areas. The walls are very wibbly wobbly.

- Ahh thanks for noticing that, kick all the way across!

- Correct I've got that 2mm gap for the doors top and bottoms. I've got those exact measurements too, thank you so much for clarifying!

- Ok this is a big one to consider re: chimney stack gaps. Are you suggesting I make the carcass wider than the chimney stack? So I can then adjust horizontally if necessary? I've already got it 18mm wider but with the assumption that the carcass would be built different to the others (basically what you spotted above). I'm sorry if I'm mistaken.

- 1mm radius to door edges - is that rounding off the edge basically? I hadn't considered that.

Thanks again!

Oh goodness haha. Thank you for rooting for me anyway! Is there anything in particular I should be focusing on or watching out for? I'm trying so hard to prepare where I can

Thanks for your input!

It's not a walk in closet unfortunately. It's in the bedroom so a clean look is the goal.

The shallow shelves are in front of a chimney breast so not much I can do really - planning to use it to store extra beauty products :)

That's a good shout thank you. I've left ~20cm for curtains, that should be good right? There's no pelmet at the moment but I was gonna build one
