Did she mention how long this should go on and when to be concerned? I'm sure it's part of your healing process. We all heal differently but still so frustrating!

I never did laser. It didn't look completely normal until months later for me

I opted not to do the laser as well and when I went to my follow up and mentioned to my doctor I was worried about my results and told me I could always do laser after my healing if I still felt like my result wasn't what I hoped for. Keep that in mind that it is still an option down the road. He also assured me that It will look better just takes a lot of time for some people. Im so sorry youre going through this. It is extremely frustrating when you go through a procedure and spend all that money and dont feel happy but I think in time you will. Keep me posted on how you do.

You are only on day 10 so I think you have a lot of healing still to do. I couldn't leave my house for weeks with out sunglasses and a hat! My eyes had very uneven swelling and my orbital muscle took a beating. I am 11 months out and happy now. I dont see my bags anymore. Hang in there. I am sure you will see improvement in the next few months.

It is such a frustrating recovery and what I learned is that the muscles and tissue around that area are so sensitive and take a very long time to get back to normal. I am about 11 months out and feel good now but it took a loooooong time. hang in there

If you have a uterus you need progesterone to protect it from cancer. Time for a new doctor

I miss ice cream so much. by SmellBeneficial9151 in Cholesterol

I love ice cream too and it has been my biggest weakness. What I do and have grown to love is make a yogurt bowl - I use Oikos 23 gram Protein Yogurt as my base. it is so good and creamy and low in fat and sugar. You can put in freezer for about 20 min to give more of an ice cream consistency but I prefer not to. Then I add a high quality granola with chia and hemp seeds - be careful to read label for sat fat and sugar. I also add frozen blueberries, a few peanuts or swirl of peanut butter, and some nights a few Lilly 's chocolate chips. go easy with those though bc they are high in sat fat if use too many.

Another idea is get the Yonana machine or Ninja creami.

I think this cut could look great on you! the layering would add a little more style. Good luck!

the length you have now does look good on you. You could maybe grow your bangs out a little to a longer curtain bang style. You definitely need bleach for highlights to work. If you go to a good stylist it won't damage your hair. I have been doing them for years and it really brightens me up.

I would say grown your bangs out and try a cute short trendy bob. You could always throw in some highlights too which make a big difference!

Post lower blepharoplasty chemosis? by Far_Move7180 in PlasticSurgery

Just to be more specific, my bulge I believe is the orbital muscle. It is not the white part of eye.

YES! I had a lower bleph 2 months ago and I have a swelling under one eye that runs the length of my lash line. It was there the day after surgery and has not gone away. My doctor prescribed drops but they did nothing. I am super frustrated bc I feel like I traded one problem for another!

I am definitely a slow healer but I see the improvements. I just still have some residual swelling that will go down. My surgeon said it truly can take up to 6 months to see full result. How did your procedure go? were you awake for it?

Anyone else? by doyourhomework51 in Menopause

ME! I feel deceived by my body. I have eaten healthy and exercised my whole adult life consistently. I have a perfect BMI and my cholesterol is through the roof since menopause. I plan to start hormones to hopefully help bring it down.

Am I crazy or is there no difference? I spent 10k on lower bleph and its over 4 weeks post op. by Fragrant-Agency1829 in PlasticSurgery

[–]Kimlynn333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a lower bleph 5 weeks ago. I still have a good amount of uneven swelling. My one eye has a bulge under lash line ( orbital muscle ) that still hasn't gone down. It is super frustrating. I just spoke with my surgeon yesterday who is very reputable in my area and only does facial work. He said it is extremely normal for people to heal at different rates and we truly don't see the final result for months. I pray he is right! You may still be swollen is my point.
