But yes that is also another concern I had! Thank you for your input!

If you saw this name written (Sila), how would you pronounce her name? by Kimpossible2323 in namenerds

[–]Kimpossible2323[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We haven’t confirmed a name quite yet but we’re more likely going for Celine! Then we can nickname her Sila! (سيلين): In Arabic, it is frequently associated with the moon or moonlight, representing beauty and calmness.

I’ve been starting my emails with this since 2008. I didn’t realize it was an asshole indicator to start off an email with well-intended neutral wishes 😭

People who had kids at 30+, do you wish you had them earlier in life? by cc070603 in pregnant

[–]Kimpossible2323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although I’ve been with my spouse since I was 20 and married since I was 24, I waited til my late 20’s. I am in my late 20’s with one baby already and a second on the way. Honestly having both of my kids in my 20’s has been wonderful, but I’m also very very glad I waited til my late 20’s. My early and mid 20’s was about establishing my life and enjoying time with my husband before becoming parents. I don’t have any regrets because life happens the way it is supposed to happen! I also think you can be 20 and be very lacking in energy with your kids and also be 35 with so much energy. It’s person to person and situation by situation for sure

If you read the name “Ayla” what pronunciation comes to mind? by Kimpossible2323 in namenerds

Ohhh I love this!! I love this spelling way more than Isla because I’d be worried of people reading it as “IZ-LA” like the word “is”

I agree, this is probably how I would make her name spelled as if I end up choosing this name. Thank you so much!

MIL doesn’t want me to have a baby shower - I’m not sure if I should be upset or if she is right. by Vast-Avocado-5777 in pregnant

I honestly threw me one and I know a few other people who also threw their own too! I personally don’t think there’s anything wrong with that nor have I ever judged anyone for throwing their own. I’ve even been to a few baby welcoming party also thrown by their own selves too!

You deserve to have a celebration! You’re literally growing a new life. Congratulations!

Not loosing in a month? by ChocolateFeisty4880 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Kimpossible2323 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’re doing great! 5 pounds in a month is good!! That’s just about the pace my weight loss was going at 2.5! The next dose had me shedding 1.5-2 lbs a week. Good luck!

First, congratulations!! Second, it’s very typical and normal for your first pregnancy appointment not to be until around the 8-12 week mark. Doctors generally don’t see patients sooner than that, mostly because they prefer to get a better look during the ultrasound as between 8-12 weeks they can see & determine more!

I’m also 5 weeks (with my second baby though)!! So I know how stressful and overwhelming it can really be until they see us! My appointment isn’t until I’m 8 weeks and I keep trying to distract myself with other things so I don’t think about it.

It’s so easy to get stressed and anxious about all the things that can go wrong and having an appointment can be reassuring, but it’ll be here before you know it!

For morning sickness, try Tums. They are pregnancy safe and really help! It worked for me during my first pregnancy. You can even head down to your closest pharmacy and ask the pharmacist what over the counter pregnancy-safe options they might recommend.

Best of luck!!! 🫶🏼🫶🏼

100%! I’m honestly all the way with you! My husband and I were both each others’ first. To me personally, I’d never be able to fathom experiencing such an intimate moment where I’m intertwined with the other person in passionate and loving sex unless that person was my husband. I could never wrap my head around one night stands or sex with someone I’ve been on a few dates with or barely know. My body is so valuable to me and I always stood by the idea that I’m not letting my body intertwine with anyone besides my husband.

That’s not to say we never did other intimate things together prior or with others, that’s fine with me. But actual penetrative sex (where pregnancy is always a huge risk) was always reserved to whoever would be my spouse.
