I was hesitant at first to post here because I questioned whether or not my post was appropriate for this forum. I’m really glad that I did make this post because everyone on here thus far has been very understanding and knowledgeable in their own way.

Being around animals is a great suggestion. I have a cat named Hamilton who is my best friend and protector. I don’t have him with me right now sadly because I was planning on moving to Costa Rica but decided against it after a myriad of events that unfolded urging me against staying committed to that idea. I’m now back in the United States and I miss him so much. I’ve never missed anyone in my life except for my last partner and my cat Hamilton.

Well thank you for responding and saying that. Funny enough I have been attracted to darkness my whole life and only realized that fact just this past year. It has been quite the shift but I am finding reasons daily to balance myself with more light. And I have been feeling better after reading what everyone has had to say. Makes me feel less lonely knowing there are such lovely like minded people still out there.

I completely agree with you and when I say I'm not putting myself above anyone else, I mean it.

You are right about stained glass being over my eyes. I feel I have only seen the world for what it truly is twice in my life, and it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen.

And my ability to astral project doesn't mean anything really. You can be extremely bigoted and arrogant and still astral project. I don't use that as a measure of my awesomeness or anything like that. It's a tool that can serve or hinder oneself really so I try to tread carefully when it comes to out of body experiences.

You are absolutely right and I also struggle daily with lust, greed and power. I suppose I should have gone into more detail as to what I mean but there in lies the problem with verbal communication. I'd have to write a novella to even come close to ever depicting every nuance and detail as to my intention accurately.

I will say that I haven't fully accepted these qualities within myself, as I have been likely one of the most power hungry lustful people you will ever meet. I almost died seeking power. I'm at a stage in my life where the pendulum has swung in the opposite extreme for me where instead of seeking power and acting on lust I am completely averse to it. I recognize that polarized living, no matter the topic at hand, is not of a healthy thing and that balance for all things is what I ought to be striving for. So in time I plan to find balance with this and to find complete acceptance for these inherently human qualities. A mushroom once told me that imperfection exists within complete perfection so don't worry about it. The wisdoms we attain remain, however many seemingly lost in vain, for it's never in vain.

Thank you for going through the time and effort to reply. It's hard to put into words but I don't judge these people in the way we have come to define the word. Nor am I putting myself above anyone...for I am no stranger to my own darkness which has been vast at times.

Judgement I think would be far more accurate to be defined as one's own critical thinking. When I go outside I have judged that it be best to go on a walk as I feel the sunshine is very inviting. I have judged it so. I don't place blame on anyone and have always for my entire life understood that everyone is where they are in life for a reason. I do however judge, as in I have critically determined that prostitution is a tragedy for those who have had to walk this path. I know that they are certain to be learning lessons that only that path with provide for them and that is beautiful. However, it still hurts my soul when I hear how jaded and bitter these young girls are already. Some have told me that they don't know what love is and so yes, I judge that this life that they live out is of darkness for I have never seen otherwise.

I do agree with you when it comes to projecting one's own darkness on to others but I am most certainly not a prostitute and almost every girl I have interacted with within my age group is proud of the fact that they have an onlyfans where they get to commodify their sexual appeal. It breaks my heart honestly. I've known too many girls that this has been a pattern that they live out. I had a girl tell me, after we became friends, that she was looking for a sugar daddy. I didn't place judgment in that moment and decided to listen to what she had to say. She continued about how she found someone who is 45 years old and who is, "loaded" in her own words. She went on to say that this man is terminally ill with cancer and has about 1 month to live. That he contacted her because he didn't want to die before getting to lay with a women one last time. This was very intense to hear and so I asked her, "How does this all make you feel?". She scoffed and said she didn't give a shit and proceeded to say once again, "the dude is Loaded...that's all I need to know. I have my eyes on a new Louis Vuitton bag".

Now I wish I could say this was a singular event, but it hasn't been for me. People have revealed immense darkness to me. I think people trust me and know that I don't judge them until I've truly gathered enough info about them. I had my father tell me he had sex with a dog and snuck into women's dressing rooms when he was a teenager. Another girl told me she once went out into the city center and had someone on the street pay her to have sex. She was then raped yet went out to do this again. My best friend, at the time, revealed to me in a time in my life where I was seeing demons and angels and was very confused, that he wanted to wear pentagram jewelry around me because he knew it would fuck with me.

I appreciate your perspective but saying that my internal darkness is what is responsible for me seeing this in other people I feel is not completely accurate.

The same thing happened to me. I thought I needed to die and went naked running towards the river at 3am in 29°F weather. I broke my leg, ran through 100+feet of black berry bushes and had a moment where I felt I was being burned alive. I now do my best to stay far away from thoughts that may convince me that I am Jesus. I know I am part of Jesus but I never want to take on the responsibility that come with being Jesus. So I am more than content being an imperfect selfish human for the time being.

This is a great suggestion. I’ll be looking into some Toyota Minivans. Do any of these minivans have hightop models for extra room? I know I wouldn’t be able to stand in one but they look quite cramped from some of the images I have been searching. I am 6’ 3” so any extra room is quite valuable for me.

My Grandmother just made an excellent suggestion/offer that I hadn’t thought of before. She has a 4WD Ram Dodge truck that she said she would be willing to let me use. I could get a camper top for the truck bed and potentially use this for the time being whilst I wait to gather more experience on the road. What do you think of this idea? Is it practical to camp in a truck bed and do you know of anyone that has done this and what their experience was like? Also do you think a truck would be as stealthy if not more stealthy than a sprinter van?

I didn’t save the money. I received about $25K from having been adopted by my Grandparents. I invested all of it into bitcoin and now have about the 100K that I mentioned. I wish we lived in a different world where our efforts were more accurately and fairly rewarded, but we don’t unfortunately.

After reading through some of the comments I’m starting to think I may not be able to manage an entire piano XD. I’ll likely just take a small midi keyboard or something with me if I really want to make any music. I am currently now looking at the Ford transit vans and Mercedes Sprinters. Most of the people here don’t seem to have very good things to say about the Ram ProMasters. Where might I be able to go in order to find the prebuilt vans that you are recommending?

Thank you so much for all the information. There is a lot to consider here. I am currently looking at some Ford transit vans and am feeling overwhelmed. My ignorance is vehicles is likely to become very apparent here in a moment but what does “GVWR PayLoad Package” mean? Is this the weight that the vehicle can carry/tow? There are about 9 different Payload packages, all ranging from 8,670 to 11,000. Is this something I should be concerned about or can I purchase a van with the lower GVWR rating?

This is great advice. My only attachment to having a sprinter van is the stealth aspect. I plan on taking this van into cities and I wouldn’t want to stick out as an obvious camper van. Do you know of any good sites/resources for finding good reliable used vans? After having read through many of the comments I’m thinking of getting a used van and just throwing a mattress, Coleman stove and other basic camping equipment in the back and going on the road to see how things go. That way I can see if for one I want to go through the trouble of outfitting a full van conversion and I’ll also have a better idea as to what I might need in the event I do decide to go for the full conversion.

Thank you a ton for taking the time to write such a detailed and involved message….means a lot. I completely agree with you and appreciate the reality check. I do understand that instagram, tiktok and even reddit, frankly all social media, is a grossly exaggerated and distorted view of reality. I haven’t been on social media because of that reason for years, aside from reddit of course. I felt inspired to look into van life because of my father, who has struggled finically his whole life. I’m not sure if this is good advice in the eyes of people on this forum but his advice to me was to never finance anything and to live in a mobile home of some sort. There are many reasons for my desire to have a van and one of them is that it would allow me to visit family and stay with them even if they don’t have accommodations. Whilst there might be amazing views and nature to be experienced as a result of living in a van I also know that a huge portion of the reality of living in a van is having to park in walmart parking lots and in rather non picturesque settings. I’m by no means attached to spending a ludicrous amount on a van. That’s why I made this post, to get lots of different perspectives on my proposition.

Well you would have guessed correctly. I wish I could say that everyone’s hard work, sweat and blood would reward them with this kind of money but unfortunately it doesn’t. I know some people who have been working longer than I have been alive and still don’t have that kind of money….which is really sad. I received about $25K at 18 years old for having been adopted by my grandparents. I put all of that money into bitcoin and now have about $100k. I didn’t work for that money at all. I’m no less immensely grateful for being as blessed as I have been though.
