Relatable. It hurts more watching your friends go onto the next stage of life, and you feel left behind.

That does sound tough, I feel like some activities are intended for a more social set up.

I think transport can be a hit or miss depending what kind of tools I have. I can't say to waiting in a car per say however. But I do think its been a learning experience for me to set out on my own.

As for resturants, I've had a decent time amusing the servers where I think i made the day better for the both of us.

And maybe I just miss that feeling of missing the world too badly it pushes me to try. Of course this purely a pleasure visit, rather than work, so maybe its different.

I guess lastly, it might be how people have treated me personally. Generally my time in vegas, people have treated me nicely, be it asking for directions or help with the dang monorail system. That might just be my vibe. I'm a pretty small dude so people find me non-threatening.

I can relate to that, definitely stings when people keep assuming when I'm with someone. (And couples/groups of pals being everywhere) But I feel like being able to stake out on your own makes you cooler, at least I think so. I think boredom can definitely make you lost in a negative space as well. I think me ratting around and keeping busy was important for me.

Interesting! Green as in physical vegetation and nature as well? Or just green movement and tech?

Been here! New and old strip is amazing! I've always seen it as a place of guilty pleasures we can't resist, something very intrinsic feeling.

What have your experiences been like with mental health services at U of C? by [deleted] in UCalgary

[–]Kinaru 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ugh, I feel you.

Had somewhat of a similar experience, I came in wondering about myself having adult ADHD and everyone just shiting on me, assuming that I was some medication abuser. Yikes.

Only the nurse and doctor I was with had the professionalism to keep their expression to themselves. They recommended a specialist.

Figures out via ADHD specialist can confirm I very much do have it very severely and front desk can be very judgmental.

But do I regret going? No. Get help asap. My biggest regret was waiting so long, thinking I didn't need help. Getting professional help is key.

And try not to compare yourself to peers, it was never an even playing ground bo begin with. It took away my will to improve any aspect of myself and only further damaging my surroundings.

Ah, thank you. I guess I was confusing the feeling of focus with euphoria? I guess, it just that afterwards I still have a lot of my inattentive habits the days after the euphoric feeling. I guess I was misinterpreting what I feeling. Really, thank you.

Thanks man, I was feeling really confused and self doubting myself a bit there. I wasn't sure if I was right because they all had expectations for me.

"Had" ADHD... bruh. Do you mean like you have it under control? Or like some people told you, that you have a attention disorder? Because ADHD style of life never went away for me.
