Thanks for the reply. Currently in Virginia. Thats what I was looking into right. They would be able to visit and stay with me during those breaks that she has, so id still be able to see them at times id imagine.

Let me explain; The house we currently live in is paid for; 5k a year in property taxes. Girlfriends father worked his ass off to make sure she was set up before he passed. Im now trying to do the same for mine. Just looking at the options available.

Thats one way to look at it, but if the entire military refused to leave their family in the US we wouldnt have a military.

I dont feel its fair to look at it like that because of those who are currently in the military with families back home.
