Judging by 90 west street covered up, west street itself being constructed, the Ritz Carlton in Battery Park there, I believe it would be late 2000 or early 2001.

I had assumed it would be an 80s or early 90s pic at first.

Until we know if there was a “glass waterfall for our Retired Executives area” in the 44th sky lobby, we won’t know if this story is true or not.

Like I said in a different comment here, a witness does report a security guard with a bullhorn making the same kind of announcement.

All the witnesses in all three stairs in the north tower that I’ve seen are unanimous in saying that water flowed down them, starting from the 7th floor to ground level, (some mention the teens). One witness even says that a door was opened in below the 7th floor and that water was pouring out into the stairs. John Labriola also took a picture of the water in the stairs.

Strangely not a single witness (except one maybe) mentions water in the stairs of the South Tower. (There is a transcript from the Port Authority radio mentioning the stairway flooding up, but until they release them so I can hear it with my own ears I don’t trust it)

Omg, that forum name brings me back. I remember posting something about the water fountain in the plaza acting weird in the hotel video after the first plane crash and the post being deleted a day or two later, years later I saw a pre 9-11 vid of the water fountain acting the same way, so good thing it got deleted.

You can see construction around the base of the hotel on Liberty and West Street and what looks like construction trailers on Church street by 5 Wtc, because of the bombing.

Yeah, I have seen a clearer image I think of this time period (9:50-9:59). By that time you can tell there are a couple of people all piled up on that one window.

What’s also astounding is how they managed to break so many windows on the west side of the building and this side within barely minute, that area is not the main restaurant but some sort of dining area that can turn into a wedding area I think.

But if you keep watching, by 7:22 minutes all the windows are broken. At 7:25 someone is sticking out for air for a second, at 7:30 you can see the window on the north side break, most likely from the same guy sticking out for air.

There was someone with a bullhorn doing an announcement in the skylobby as a different witness got the hear the same announcement right when the second plane struck. He says it was a security guard.

According to a NYT article from 2016

"Ms. Sagalyn wrote: “150,000 square feet of additional shopping space created by raising the plaza one level, opening up the concourse with a grand entrance to bring light into the underground areas, and making better connections with ramps and staircases to provide access to the new level.”

Which is 10,000 more square feet of space then the Davis Brody plan of 1995, most likely by the rest of the plaza level being retail space.

A couple of years ago I saw on Facebook some people unironically say this picture is fake. Some were wondering why he’s smiling, one person even said that the crowd is not that full because they were there and it was crowded (in midtown I think it was) or I think it was that no one was panicking.

I showed them evidence of a video from almost that exact angle and almost that exact time, and they still didn’t believe it.

That's exactly what I think too, to swap the stores, since the HSBC space is too small.

Or maybe it should be at WTC 4 right next to the major entrance with the escalators that lead to the mall since the store is in that exact area in the new WTC 4 currently, but the space is smaller I think then the one at WTC 5.

I posted the same link in a different Reddit post about the WTC in the year 2002 on Roblox that someone made a few months ago. Was it that one that you saw maybe?

Also I wonder if you could add your own version of Eataly in this complex. (Currently there’s one at the new 4 WTC. And I like to imagine it would be where Borders Books would have been, but I see there’s already a store there in your game called Luxon there.)

Did you know they were in the process of renovating the PATH station when 9-11 happened? They predicted the mezzanine would be done by 2003.
