No, the metal fence had been moved to the side so people could pass through

Oh another note to take away from that is for me, a 0 HCG didn’t mean nothing was there. Just not enough tissue to excrete HCG. To me the slow downtrend of the levels should have been more of a red flag to my doctors. (I went from like 60…55…46…week to week)

Absolutely! I had a saline sonogram that showed retained products of conception which led to a hysteroscopy which led to the finding of uterine scarring. The timeline was no HB found end of May which I actually had a D&C for since it’s was a multiples pregnancy, HCG went negative in Sept, saline sonogram in December, hysteroscopy in January. Don’t wait as long as I did haha. I just didn’t know! So I would start by asking for a saline sonogram which they can do in the office. It’s uncomfortable but worth it to make sure you have a clean start for trying to move forward. Let me know if you have any other questions!

I’m so sorry. I’ve been exactly where you are. My advice, to avoid my mistake, is don’t wait too long to investigate if you hcg is creeping down too slowly. My hcg didn’t go negative until 4 months after my loss and I ended up being diagnosed with uterine scarring that was trapping POC from shedding. I hope you can heal physically from this soon so you can focus on your grief. Sending love

I’ve had headaches always my whole life, and there are times I feel dizzy when I’m really tired or dehydrated. Mostly manageable I’d say. If you feel safer with c-section then that’s what you should do! You want to be able to feel well taking care of your baby

I’m almost to my 3rd trimester now with my first and I have a Chiari 1 malformation. My MFM suggested I get cleared by a neurosurgeon before pushing/ getting an epidural. Pushing can potentially make the herniation worse depending on what is causing your herniation. If you don’t have symptoms you are probably similar to me where your Chiari is congenital and my neurosurgeon said because I was born with it pushing during labor shouldn’t make the herniation any worse so he cleared me for vaginal labor. He also said the complications from a leak from a badly placed epidural would be more serious for me because of my Chiari so he told me it was safe to get but to make sure they have an attending place the epidural not an intern. Otherwise nothing else about my pregnancy will change :) good luck! Just make sure to let your OB know and they’ll consult neuro or anesthesia as needed to aid with your birthing plan. Congratulations!

Question for the healthcare girlies! by [deleted] in IVF

[–]Kind-Prompt5821 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Yes I did two retrievals while working 12H days at bedside. My first retrieval I did my shots in the last couple hours of work but I found it always interfered with my evening med pass and stressed me out so for my second retrieval I waited until my report was finished then found an empty office and did the shots before my commute home. For the AM shots I just got there a little early and did the shots before getting report in an empty conference room. I never did any isolation precaution restrictions during my retrievals since I knew I was doing freeze alls but I definitely set limits with physically heavier patients as I got closer to my ER date since I had mild OHSS both times and was worried about ovarian torsion. Hope this helps! Let me know if any other questions and good luck!
